Peace
"Syempre at hindi ka nakinig sa payo ko. I told you not to make any decisions yet while you're feeling overwhelmed."
I just finished my brunch dahil tinanghali ako ng gising. I'm enjoying an ice cream right now with my feet dived inside the pool.
"Hey kuya!" I cheerfully greeted him.
"Hindi ganyan ang ineexpect kong heartbroken person because my brother certainly didn't look like that."
I rolled my eyes kahit na hindi naman niya makikita dahil I'm wearing a sunglasses, to cover up my swollen eyes.
"Don't tell me you're pushing back your feelings again?"
"I'm not!" I removed my sunglasses a bit just to show him that I'm glaring at him. "I feel... lighter and more carefree."
"That's good to hear." He said with a smile. "I mean, not better for my bro pero better for you because you've finally settled the issues of the past. You're healing."
Tiningnan niya pa ako na parang proud siya sa akin and I chuckled at that.
I understand now that what happened to Bree and the frame ups of Kuya Nic and Vini weren't my fault. Why I apologized to them is because I couldn't be there with them back then, I couldn't share the suffering with them. I felt guilty happily moving on while they were here dealing with it.
Dahil wala ako noon, I wanted to try and compensate them right now, see what I can do for them. Kuya Nic wanted me to figure out myself and live my life so that's what I'm doing. Liya was waiting for Vini all along, so I freed Vini from the past and gave them both a chance to discover each other. Si Vini naman ay he definitely deserves a better girl in his life and he needs to realize who was always there for him.
"Do you really think that giving him up would bring him happiness?" Kuya Nic suddenly asked again.
"Yes. He can't be happy when he's with me because I am a reminder of what happened in the past. Also, his life was already peaceful when I wasn't around. Dapat niyang ipagpatuloy yun."
"Yes, his life was going smoothly but it doesn't mean he was happy though."
"Still, kuya. He deserves the chance to meet other girls too. Look for the girl that he truly deserves." Damn, it hurts.
"Like Liya!" I even recommended. "You should tell him to give her a chance. She brings the good in him. She keeps him grounded and she was always there for him."
"You should stay here for a longer time. You need more healing!"
What? Why?
I did not see Vini ever since last night when we parted ways but I still avoided the places na kasama sana sa plano niya sa amin para sa araw na ito. I also avoided the places where we went to yesterday dahil naaalala ko lang siya.
After a quick dinner at the hotel buffet, pumunta ako sa floor kung nasaan ang hotel bar.
I sat on the bar stool at nag-order ng cocktail since I have stopped drinking hard liquor ever since that incident.
Napatingin ako sa babaeng katabi ko, she's kind of familiar? She's sipping on her glass of cocktail too at mukhang nakakailan na siya. She looked devastated.
