Grounded
"Let's go, Yani." I recognized the voice, it was Trevor.
He held both my shoulders to guide me out, not removing his jacket from my head.
We stepped over the tarpaulin that fell on our way out. Basura. We stepped on it like it's a trash.
I'm in so much shock and confusion na tulala lang ako the whole time na nasa byahe kami. Ni-hindi ko alam kung saan kami pupunta.
"Yani."
I turned to look at him.
"We're here." He said at binuksan ang pinto para makababa kami.
I roamed my eyes to check where we were. No one was around, kami lang- Trevor, me, a guy probably his friend, his driver and their van. There was a house in the middle of a big lot and it looked old and... dark.
"Come in, we can stay here for the meantime, it's our old house. Walang media na susunod dito, don't worry." Sabi ni Trevor at binuksan ang pinto.
It sure looks like no one is living here, the furniture were all draped by a white cloth.
I sat on the couch. Why is it echoing in my head so loudly?
No tears fell from my eyes, though I can feel my heart being pinched and sliced. I can also feel vibrations coming from my phone in my pocket.
Trevor served liquors; I don't even know where he got those but I drank it straight up at nanghingi pa.
I drank and drank and drank until I don't feel the pain in chest anymore.
The door flew opened and it revealed my mom and dad.
My mom and dad?!
I'm in my room?
What the hell happened? How did I end up in our house?
It wasn't just my mom and dad, it was my mom and dad with their VERY angry faces.
"What happened?" I unintentionally said it out loud.
"What happened?" Galit na ulit ni mom. "We should be the one asking you that, what the hell happened, Yanna?"
"Your friend brought you home, you were so drunk you black out." My dad answered instead, galit din pero mas kalmado.
"I... I blackout?" Ulit ko.
"Great, you don't remember. You probably drank so much to forget the embarrassment you did yesterday." Mom yelled.
I winced as she yelled again. "Nainspire ka ba sa public proposal ni Flint sa ate mo noon at ginaya mo?"
"What proposal are-" Natigilan ako sa pagsasalita nang parang flashback na bumalik ang alaala ko kahapon.
"Tama na yan, Helena." My dad trying to calm her. "Let's just talk to her when she feels better. Let her rest first."
"No!" she yelled again at hinawi ang kamay ni dad na hinihila siya palabas. "I guess we were not strict enough kaya naiisipan niyang gumawa ng kalokohan. At ano? Umuuwi pang blackout ngayon!"
Naglakad siya palapit sakin, I thought she was gonna hit me because she's extremely mad right now pero lumiko siya sa bed side table ko. she started rummaging through my things, looking for something.
