"But-"
"Hindi naman kayo, 'di ba?"
I slowly nodded.
She smirked and stepped closer, towering over me. She held my chin softly, "And you don't like him, right?"
I looked up only to see her looking down at me. Slowly, I shook my head. "I... don't."
"Because I do." She whispered while looking at both of my eyes. Humakbang siya palayo, dusting my shoulders a bit.
"You're getting in my way, so I suggest you mingle with the others and dance or whatever. Asher wouldn't mind his toy to wander for a while," she casually said those words like they weren't hurtful.
He only played with me? I was his toy... na kapag nagsawa ka na itatapon mo na lang o hindi papansinin ulit? But why did he say that he likes me? I don't know anymore!
"Kaya mo 'yan," she walked past me.
"Hi Sean! Enjoy!" I greeted some of my classmates before going outside for some fresh air.
"What are you doing here?" Lukal sat beside my chair.
I glanced up the dark sky. "Fresh air."
"Doesn't seem like it."
Nilingon ko siyang nakatingala sa langit. He's glowing in the moonlight, especially with his dark clothes. "It does."
He shook his head and stared in my eyes. Minsan green and mata niya, minsan brown. Ang galing lang.
"I'm not buying it."
"I'm not selling anything."
"Geez, stop hanging out with Mary too much," he sighed while covering his cheeks.
Tiningnan niya ulit ako at hindi na napagilang tumawa. I laughed in success. Minsan lang 'yan tumawa.
