Y/N Knoxx is the son of General Knoxx and Commandant Steele as well as a Colonel within the Crimson Lance military. What happens when he is sent with his mother to a planet called Pandora? I'm quite a fan of the Borderlands series especially the fir...
It didn't take long for us to arrive at Old Haven and upon doing so we all got out of our Lancers. I stretched before looking around at the soldiers. I grinned upon noticing that not only was I assigned Infantry Soldiers for this task but I also saw some Lance Defenders and Engineers among them.
I muttered to myself "This will be easier than I thought." Before chuckling to myself.

The Infantry soldier from earlier approached me. "Sir what's the plan of attack?" I turned to him before asking "Are you new by any chance?" The soldier was taken aback before responding "Y-yes sir. I-I was just transferred to this unit yesterday."
I sighed "Thought so. Okay I'll explain, first off the Engineers set up their Scorpio Turrets and then from there we improvise." The soldier simply offered a nod. You see, missions were known for having the fewest casualties among any of the Lance higher ups. So my plan of simply improvising worked perfectly.
Timeskip...
We entered into Old Haven through a secret back entrance, this was to provide us with the element of surprise. We let the Defenders go first until we finally heard the loud yell of Bandits yelling "Shoot em!" and another yell "Come on little one, time to die!"
We also heard the familiar screeches of Psychos yelling "Strip the flesh! Salt the wound!" Now we knew the battle was getting underway so as I planned the Engineers threw their Scorpio turrets down which instantly began to shoot at the bandits.
Now me along with the Infantry and Engineer soldiers came out of our hiding spots and were instantly rushed by Bandits and Psychos, just as I expected.

Now dealing with these Bandits was more difficult that I had initially thought. It wasn't that they were packing any quality weaponry but rather the shear number of them was kind of overwhelming to deal with initially.
The Psychos however were easy and were gunned down in seconds. Likely due to the fact that they were just running at us with Buzz Axes screeching. To be honest it was actually quite funny to watch.
I ended up hiding behind cover while some of my men cleared a new path of Bandits. Once that was handled I got up and we continued to shoot our way through the seemingly endless Bandit horde, even encountering some Bandits wielding SMG's compared to the common pistols.

Eventually there were only a few Bandit stragglers left and as expected we had only lost a few soldiers. At this moment I had an idea. "Gather the survivors! Bring them to the square!" My soldiers did as I ordered.
Soon the Bandits were all lined up with Lance soldiers opposite them. I gave a speech "For your crimes against the Atlas Corporation, I hereby sentence you all to death!" I looked at them all before suddenly pointing at one of them and saying "Except you. Your free to go."
That Bandit raised his arms in the air in cheer as he yelled "HEYO!" Before running away, I turned to the soldier next to me and was shared a confused glance about what that was all about. I turned back to the remaining Bandits before saying "Soldiers, ready your weapons."
The soldiers aimed their assault rifles and SMG's at the bandits before I yelled "Fire." The sound of gunfire filled the air as the bodies of the Bandits fell to the ground. I sighed to myself.
I didn't enjoy killing, especially not via execution but an example needed to be made to those who crossed the Atlas Corporation and the Crimson Lance.
The soldier next to me asked "What are our new orders sir?" I turned to him responding. "We are to simply hold this area for the time being, set up the smoke signals to lure more Bandits here, until then-"
I now addressed the whole group of soldiers before asking "Who remembered it's Ice cream day?" All the men cheered and yelled "ICE CREAM DAY!"
Author's Note: That ends Chapter 2. Now I apologize if it wasn't that good, I've never written a gunfight before. Still I do hope you enjoyed it and as always thank you for reading!
