Note: This chapter takes place before the Vault Hunters arrive at Jakobs Coves.
Y/N POV
Upon successfully escaping the Vault, I used my teleporter to take me to Jakobs Cove. Almost instantly upon my arrival there, I began to regret my decision.
The sky was dark, as if it was permanently night here as Elpis, Pandora's moon shone in the sky. The trees were all dead and baron of life. Yet regardless of how uneasy I felt, I pressed on. I needed to find this Dr Ned and enlist his help in my mission to avenge my mother's death.
I walked through the almost marsh like grounds until I suddenly froze in place when I heard the sound of a twig snapping. As cliché as that may sound, in this area it was genuinely frightening. I slowly drew my pistol before spinning around and shooting what made the noise!
The bullet contacted right with someone's head, killing them instantly. I kept my weapon drawn as I slowly approached the body. My eyed widened when I noticed how decayed the body was, as if they had been dead for quite some time already.
Before I could properly process what had just happened I heard the sounds of grumbling and footsteps. I turned around and saw numerous bodies approaching me, all of which were decayed and rotten just like the one on the ground.
I muttered to myself "So these are the Zombies of Jakobs Cove."

I deployed my Scorpio turret and simply watched as it shredded the approaching Zombies in seconds. However once they were gone, more would take their place. I now was beginning to think that this wasn't such a good idea.
I continued to fight my way through numerous hoards of zombies, they weren't that tough and one shot to the head would kill them with ease rather it was the sheer numbers of them that was causing me so much trouble.
Anyway I eventually was able to get to the town of Jakobs Cove itself and once again I was greeted by even more Zombies. And once I had eventually killed all of them in this area, I heard a high pitched voice behind me asking.
"Are they gone?" I turned around and was met with one of those Claptrap robots that I saw frequently around Pandora. This one was white mostly with a red stripe round the middle. I turned to him before responding "Yeah they're gone."
