Chapter 51: The Secret Armory of Y/N Knoxx

Y/N POV

What location did I pick you may ask? Well what a better place to kill the newest band of Vault Hunters than the location where the original Vault Hunters killed my father. By that I mean the old and abandoned Crimson Lance Armory.

Well I wouldn't say abandoned since shortly after I reformed the Crimson Lance Reborn following Hector's attack, I sent a few squads to travel to the derelict facility and set it up once again as a potential base of operations. Given that Old Haven wasn't the most secure of strongholds.

On top of all this I went through some of those files that I salvaged from the old Crimson Enclave and I came across some schematics for a unique style of Atlas SMG know only as Silver. It was in the development phase when Atlas fell and it ceased to be nothing more than a rumor.

Anyway, I ended up using the old Armory as a manufacturing plant for this weapon. With these the intention was to bolster our military might and sure enough when we tested them out on local Bandits and we shredded through their camps with ease.

However it took time to create these new weapons so they were only given to those of the higher ranked soldiers. Most notably the Badasses and my own Royal Guards. The lower ranked soldiers were still given the standard issue Atlas Assault Rifles, Shotguns or SMGs that we acquired from scavenging old Atlas facilities.

Regardless. I had completely fortified the place in preparation for the inevitable Vault Hunter and Crimson Raider attack, which I had orchestrated for years as my means to get revenge for the deaths of my parents, friends and girlfriend. It was Aurelia's death however which pushed me over the edge.

How was I planning to lure them here you may ask? Well that plan had been in the works for years as well. 

You see, after my assassination attempt on Roland failed, I actually sent one of my own soldiers to act as a mole within the Crimson Raiders. And he had actually managed to survive all this time, feeding me information from the inside.

And that lead us to where we are right now.

I decided to Echo my little mole and inform him my plan was ready. I knew that the Sanctuary 3 was orbiting Pandora considering Patricia Tannis, an Eridian researcher had recently been kidnapped by the COV. So my plan would go off without a hitch.

Soon my mole's face appeared on the device as I heard him saying "Sir! What are your orders?!" I grinned before saying "The time has come. Bring this object to the old Armory in the Deep Fathoms. Once you have the object use the Drop Pod."

The soldier grinned saying "Yes sir, I will not fail you." My response was cold and blunt "See that you don't. This is a critical assignment. I will not tolerate failure." I shut off the Echo and now all I needed to do was wait for the response.

Timeskip...

And get a response I did. I didn't see the Drop Pod land. However I soon received a message over the intercom from the main gate informing me that my mole had arrived. "Let him through, direct him to my office."

I had been using my father's old office as my own since relocating here with my Royal Guards on either side of me and soon my mole came in with the briefcase. He placed it on the desk in front of me.

I gestured towards it saying "Open it." I could tell my mole grinned under his helmet as he released the locks and opened the briefcase displaying the content to me. My eyes widened as I reached and grasped the item lifting it up in awe.

"The Promethea Vault Key, at last, it is within my possession."

I knew this would be sufficient to lure the Crimson Raiders here. I dismissed my mole and held the Vault Key in my hand. I grinned menacingly as I let out a sinister chuckle. I instantly contacted Sanctuary 3 to broadcast my message.

Amara POV (This takes place right after the Vault Hunters rescue Tannis from Carnivora)

After rescuing Tannis we instantly received a message from Lilith. "Come to the bridge. It's important." We did as she requested and sure enough, she was waiting for us.

She seemed stressed as she instantly began briefing us "Good, your here. We have a problem. I don't know how but someone has STOLEN the Promethea Vault Key, seems we have a traitor in our midst. If whoever it is delivers that key to the Calypsos then our chances become even worse."

Suddenly we received a transmission and initially Lilith said "Speak of the devil." Claptrap patched us through and we were surprised to see that it wasn't the Calypsos but rather Y/N Knoxx, the General we met on Promethea and the same one who was working with Aurelia on Eden 6.

He briefly turned to Claptrap and to my surprised said "Hey Claptrap, been a while hasn't it. It's a shame what happened to your product line, you have my apologies. Anyway back to why we're here."

To our surprise he held up the Promethea Vault Key as he said "I believe you're looking for this. If you want it, come to the coordinates I'm providing on Pandora, we'll settle this once and for all. If you don't them I'm sure the Calypsos would pay good money for this here key. Farewell."

With that he hung up on us as Lilith and inspected the coordinates. Suddenly she paled and abruptly said "This isn't good, I'm coming with you on this one."

I asked "Why where is it?" Her face looked grave where she said "The place where we killed his father over a decade ago."
