Y/N Knoxx is the son of General Knoxx and Commandant Steele as well as a Colonel within the Crimson Lance military. What happens when he is sent with his mother to a planet called Pandora? I'm quite a fan of the Borderlands series especially the fir...
With the Vault Key fragment in hand, I returned back to the elevator, with my two escorts I descended before exiting the elevator. We left the camp and got back into our Lancer. I analyzed the Vault Key fragment for a moment before one of the soldiers asked "Your not really making a deal with Bandit scum like that are you sir?"
I looked up at him before responding "No. It was simply a trick to get this key fragment here. Tell the strike team they can begin their assault, maybe they'll get one of the Vault Hunters with them."
The soldier did as I ordered as as we drove off I saw several Crimson Lance drop pods catapult themselves into the ground. They opened and several Crimson Lance Soldiers exited them. Among them were were even a few Badasses including a Badass Engineer.

As the strike team began their assault, killing Bandits and hopefully the Vault Hunters as well, our Lancer drove across the Salt Flats before eventually reaching the Lance checkpoint which served as the gateway to the Crimson Enclave.
The gate opened and we were allowed in. We pulled up as me and the two Badass Infantry that accompanied me got out of the Lancer only to be met with my mother and a large squad of soldiers, including Infantry, Defenders and Engineers along with their Badass counterparts.

I approached before holding out the Vault Key and saying "I trust you have the other three." Mother responded simply "We have. I tricked a scientist into leading the Vault Hunters into that trap you set before locking her up and taking the three pieces she had in her possession."
She took the piece I was holding and I noticed a few soldiers holding the other three. She then added. "The Vault awaits." With that we set off towards where we knew the Vault was located, Master McCloud was placed in charge of the Lance soldiers here so at least he would be out of my way.
We went through an area called the Decent. And at first we were met with no opposition which was strange since I had heard rumors that the Vault was guarded by a race of strange yet powerful creatures.
However soon I began to hear strange noises, like crumbling rock as we walked past monuments with bizarre markings on them which I assume had something to do with the Vault. Upon hearing the noise again I turned to the men behind me saying "Look alive boys, we're about to have company."
The soldiers readied their weapons before one yelled "I have visual!" Before he could fire he was lept at from one of the monuments. The creature that killed him was like nothing I had seen before so I'm assuming that these were the fabled Eridian Guardians.

Some of the men attempted to open fire before they too were lept at by the Guardians who killed them using these strange energy blades which protruded from their arms. I drew my pistol and attempted to shoot at the Guardians before Mother addressed me "Leave them, we have more important matters to attend to."
I didn't like leaving the soldiers to fight these Guardians alone but we still had the Vault to get to and the soldiers were managing to kill the Guardians especially after we called for reinforcements which came in the form of those drop pods from earlier.
Eventually we arrived at the Eridian Promontory which if I'm guessing correctly was where the Vault was located. However along the way we were attacked by more Eridian Vault Guardians. Only these ones were much bigger and even stronger than the ones encountered earlier.

I threw my Scorpio Turret down and watched it fire away at the Guardians, even managing to kill a few of them before my mind returned to the task at hand. More Lance drop pods came and out came more reinforcements.
While they distracted the Vault Guardians, me along with mother and a small group of Lance soldiers proceeded onwards until we eventually arrived at a cave door, what lied beyond was exactly what we had been searching for since arriving on Pandora.
But what lied within the Vault? That was something I certainly didn't expect.
Author's Note: That concludes Chapter 4, I really do hope you enjoyed. Now there will be one chapter in the Borderlands 1 main game segment before we move onto the next one. As always thank you for reading.
