Theo was busy the whole summer vacation. He accepted a job offer from Trazo Real but he started from the bottom first because he has not taken the board exam yet. And even after passing it, which I am very certain of, I know he wouldn't want to skyrocket himself to a high position. He wanted to learn and he knew that he'll only learn if he experienced everything from the lowest and earn his way up.

It made me admire him more. He sticks to his principles and I love that about him. At least, he doesn't take advantage of his privilege.

I visited my brother in his condo unit and brought some groceries for him. It's summer and he's taking another summer job so I made sure to visit him during the weekend.

"Ikaw lang? Nasaan alalay mo?", he asked, pertaining to Theo.

"Baliw. He's busy reviewing during the weekend and he works on weekdays", I informed my brother.

He helped me place the grocery items I bought inside his kitchen cabinet. I noticed that the vacuum was plugged in so maybe he's cleaning his unit.

"Why are you cleaning? Are you expecting a visitor? Hindi ako nagsabi na bibisita ako ah?", I cornered my brother.

Something is really different with him. I know that he has a girl. He always does but he wasn't like this compared before.

"Gusto ko lang maglinis, Pichi", iwas niya sa akin.

"Do you have a girlfriend?", I followed him while he's putting the frozen goods inside his refrigerator.

"I don't do girlfriends. You know that", blangko niyang sabi at umiiwas pa rin sa mga tingin ko.

"A fuck buddy perhaps?"

"Bibig mo, Clara Priscilla. Kay Theo mo 'yan natututunan 'no?", he fired at me.

"Excuse me? Sa'yo ko 'yan unang narinig", I pointed at him.

"Ay weh? Sa akin ba?"

"Come on. Just answer me. Is someone making you happy now?"

"I'd rather not say it. It's complicated, Pichi", he just smiled at me.

Hindi ko na siya kinulit pa. Tama na siguro na alam kong 'complicated' ang buhay niya ngayon. I should respect his privacy.

The following week, I received a call from my handler. I was tapped to do a supporting role in a movie to be released this last quarter of the year. Sa sobrang saya ko, mas excited pa yata ako sa mga lead stars.

It's a family movie so I don't need a partner here. The lead stars are veteran actors who used to be a loveteam before and I am their daughter in the movie.

"Hindi na ba 'to babawiin sa akin, Tita Jen?", I asked her.

"Hindi na basta galingan mo. Here's the script. Aralin mong mabuti, okay? Kay Jane Lim dapat ang role na ito pero hindi niya tinanggap dahil may ginagawa siyang project ngayon. Hindi kaya ng schedule niya. Mabuti na lang at nakuha mo", Tita Jen informed me.

"Does Jane know that I replaced her?"

"Yes, she knows. In fact, she's happy that you got the role", saad ni Tita Jen.

That day, I received the script and read it. Hindi ako mapakali. My showbiz life has been static after my issue with Mara Gonzales. Good for Mara, she's one of the network's favorites so the issue didn't scar her even a bit.

I got myself some highlighter and highlighted my lines. I even wrote notes on the side for reminders about what I can do for that scene and such. Hindi naman sa akin iikot ang camera dahil family movie iyon. I will get some scenes and I have to make sure that I would really shine in those.
