Chapter 6 -A line has been crossed

Chapter six

Damon

My mother had officially crossed the line, I told her to leave Zanara alone. She even dared to turn into a werewolf in front of her. I decided that I would fight; it was worth it my mother needed to know that Zanara was to not be touched until she can fight for herself. Zanara doesn’t even know what will happen soon; I picked up my mother and tossed her out of Jelani’s room. She leaped for me but I hit her stomach and gave it a squeeze; hearing her yelp normally made me cringe but this time it gave me joy. She untangled from my arms and clawed off my shirt. I saw Zanara watching and ran to the door and locked it as I was inside I showed her the secret exit that my mother didn’t even know of I opened it and ran Jelani to the bottom. “Follow this all the way until the first fork and then I want you to see my name in your mind; it will activate the mind link from there I will tell you what to do.” I grabbed a gurney and tossed it down then rolled Jelani onto it.

“What about you?” She asked, I wonder if she even cared.

“I’ll be fine this is just a precaution I don’t want you to get hurt.” I kissed her forehead and ran out. I knew Zanara was still watching but my mother wasn’t going to wait for me anymore she lunged at me one more time and again I dodged her. I didn’t want to ruin my home like I did in my last fight that I had. That’s when I heard Damon.

Take a left and there should be a hatch open it and stay in the tunnel with Jelani.

My mother scratched my face because of my hesitation.

“Focus boy, don’t show any weakness.” She growled.

“Shut up and fight!”

She cut my chest next just afterward the remaining clothing I had been ripped from my human form as I turned into a werewolf form. My mother smirked; this is what she wanted but she wasn’t expecting me to actually attack her. I jumped onto her back and scratched at her face. She yelped again. In return she bit my stomach breaking the flesh. She stood up on her hind legs so I rolled off her back I then stood up and bit her paw. She then limped off towards her room. I stayed in wolf form and went to Jelani’s room.

I opened the door to find Zanara with a scalpel in her hand. It’s me Zanara I sent her the mind note. With that she dropped her guard down where is Jelani?

“I put him toward the end of the tunnel and came back to make sure that you were ok.” She responds.

How did you do that the tunnel is 2 miles long?

“I can run as fast as you now. It happened recently.” She approached me and gave me a hug. Zanara had never done a gesture like this even as a little girl, she must be in the change. I heard a snap off to the distance and turned my neck in the direction; I could have been my mother but it was Agragor.

“Master what have you done to your mother?” Agragor asked.

“He saved my life.” Zanara defended.

“She is injured however.”

“So is Damon!” Zanara’s eyes turned red she was thirsty. I slowly pulled away from her hug and limped over to a shelf and opened it with my nose picking up a glass of blood I had been keeping in case she lost control around Jelani. I gave it to her drink this you’ll feel better.

“Master this girl is a monster she must be destroyed she is ruining your family can’t you see that!” Agragor yelled.

With that Zanara put the glass down and attacked she had enough of him. I blocked her and tossed her body onto my back and carried her to her room. I’ll deal with him I don’t want him to know how powerful you are.

“Why?” She asked.

Then he may try to kill you as well he doesn’t trust me I know how to handle this situation. I’m going to go talk to him I want you to go under your bed there is another door follow the light and you’ll find Jelani place him back in the room and stay with him. Once your there hit the nurses button and surveillance TV’s will come down I want you to be prepared if you need to fight.

“Is this a part of one of the prophecies?”

It’s the beginning of one but I don’t want you to worry.

I ran out to my room and grabbed clothes with my snout; I was still debating how to fight human or werewolf. I found Agragor where I left him I used my gift to force him to move towards me.

“Master why did you take the girl away I could have finished her and gotten rid of our problem.”

I didn’t share a mind link with Agragor because it was only family or mates that shared them; I turned to my normal self and put on my clothes. “She isn’t the problem I believe you are.” I walked toward him and he took a step back in fear.

“Master she hurt your mother.”

“No I did! She deserved it why are you defending my mother?” I screamed.

“I mustn’t say master I promised your mother.”

I gave no response I stepped forward and grabbed his throat bringing up to the wall choking him. “Tell me or I’ll kill you.”

“Why are you defending Zanara?” He choked out before I threw him to another wall.

“She’s my mate! I told you that before I would die for her, I would even let her be with Jelani if that would make her happy.”

Agragor slowly got up shaking, “Your mother is hesitant on your intentions sir and she may go to the council and have Zanara tried for criminal acts.”

“Zanara never committed any criminal acts.”

“That’s not what your mother believes.”

“Are you saying my mother would make up a crime just to get Zanara killed?”

“Yes please don’t be angry with her I’m the one who has been holding out on you.”

“Yes and I have been holding out on her. She only received a 10th of the beating she will receive tomorrow.”

“Master should I fetch Zanara some dinner along with Jelani’s steak.”

“Yes and I want you to apologize for what you said earlier to Zanara.”

“Bu-"

“No butts go and I expect an apology from you.”

“Yes master.” Agragor slumps away in defeat toward the chief’s choice kitchen.
