“Are you alright?” A voice asks me, I could tell it was a man’s but it was too dark to tell who it was.

“Who are you?” I questioned I felt my wolf shift inside of me angrily wanting an answer and preparing to attack.

“It’s me, Terrance.”

I shifted ripping apart the tent I looked around to find that he had disappeared as did all the other tents. I let out a growl and howled hoping that Vincent would hear me and save me from the monster. I turned around and saw Terrance holding Vincent as he tilted hit head opening up is neck allowing Terrance to place his teeth near his veins. I shifted back and put on my robe, “What do you want?!?” I screamed crying from the pain and fear I felt for Vincent.

“You are going to come with me back to my home, we are going to get married and you will do what I say.” He replies.

“Never!” I shout.

He moves his teeth closer to Vincent.

“Is this the kind of love you want? One that is forced on the other or do you want true love the kind that you and Pearl had? If Pearl was your soul mate then why did you marry that woman and have children with her?”

“It took my pain away! And you are Pearl you will learn to love me, just like you used to. You and I will have our happily ever after, the universe has given me a second chance with her and I won’t let anyone take that away especially a wild animal like him.” He snarls at Vincent.

“Guess what? I’m a wild animal too, I’m not Pearl she wasn’t a shifter like me. Reincarnation is real, I believe you on that, but I am not a reincarnation of Pearl.”

“Don’t talk to me like that!” He snaps.

“I will talk to you however I want! You have no right to come in here and tell me that I’m so and so and then say we’re getting married. I don’t know what kind of universe you’re living in but that isn’t real.”

He rolls his eyes, “I’ll do it! I really will.”

“Would you force Pearl to love you and possibly make her miserable or ensure her happiness and possibly ease her into the life you could offer her?”

Terrance pauses, pondering the things I had just offered and eased his grip on Vincent just enough for Vincent to slip away and shift into his wolf. I did the same as we attacked him together, he was strong though. We needed the others to kill him so I howled and it was returned with a whimper in the woods I rushed over there and saw them tied up I let them free as they rushed out to kill him once and for all.

As we tear into his flesh he leaves us with these words, “Pearl and I will be together in paradise.” He smiles as we pause.

I shift and reply, “I don’t think so because you are a bloodsucker and we all know they go to the devil.” I smile and shift taking the last claw straight into his temple I burry him afterwards dropping him into the hole and setting him on fire. We pour water to put the fire out and then cover the hole ensuring that he is dead. Things go back to normal as we set up our tents again and I lay down next to Vincent I snuggle closer into him. The sun rises and I jolt up when I hear shouting. I run out of my tent and see Zo shouting at Tarum, I walked over to Iris and sat down next to her.

“You haven’t seemed well, what’s wrong?” I asked her.

She looked up at me just as tears fell from her eyes. She stood up and pushed Zo and Tarum apart as she took a deep breathe, “I’m pregnant with twins, alright? Besides we need to face the facts, Nessie is just a lone shifter trying to cause trouble a rouge if you will. Let’s just go back to base and visit with old friends and get a new attitude. Either way Tarum and I are leaving on a maternity leave weather you like it or not.” She walks off to the tent as Zo runs up to her, he grabs her arm and yanks her backwards as she falls to the ground.
