Chapter Ten - The Heart

**DARREN's POV**

"Darren?"

I stood behind her as Jade faced me with a wee bit of shock as I wore a smile.

Why's she still awake? I never knew she could stay up until midnight. I mean, girls don't want to sleep late right it's because they might grow 'pimples' if they will.

Girls. ¯︶¯

I too can't sleep. I tried to sleep when everyone else was singing and dancing and having fun in the big open cottage, but I think my expectations were wrong.

I thought I could sleep earlier because I'm already lying down and I started to yawn, but seemingly, everyone else came back to their tents and slept before me.

Well, except for Jade of course.

"What are you doing here?" she asked suddenly.

"You don't want me here? Okay I'll just go." I fake a pout and started to walk away slowly.

She waited for about a matter of seconds before she yelled, "No!" I stopped and faced her once again, trying not to let out the smirk that's dying to come out of my mouth. I knew she couldn't do that. "I mean, you startled me a bit."

I smiled. "Would you mind if I join you? I can't sleep." I inquired.

Jade looked away and said, "Okay." I then smirked and walked towards the log she was sitting and sat beside her.

A few minutes passed by, as the silence took over. I inhaled the breeze that was coming through us and closed my eyes, admiring the wind and nature.

Even though it's cold, it's still not a valid reason not to take a look at the surroundings around you and smile. The place here is beautifully great. You could see the lakes from up here, and the forests that lie around you. This is such a paradise that I wanna live here.

I opened my eyes again and turned my gaze to Jade. She was looking heavenward, beaming at the stars that shined upon her.

Okay, I don't want to disturb her moment so I'll shut up.

I looked up at the sky again and saw thousands, no millions of stars up high. Wow. That's all I could say for now. You couldn't put in words how breathtaking it was while seeing the stars at this state. The moon's up high, the stars were present... it was perfect.

I guess it really was right for me not to sleep yet. If I were asleep right now, then I won't get the chance to see this again.

I was scanning the whole sky for constellations. I saw the Draco constellation. Woah, I never knew I could find that kind of constellation. But then my eyes stopped as I saw a particular constellation which I still haven't heard of my whole life.

Was that a.... heart?

I didn't wait for another millisecond when I tapped Jade on her shoulder as she looked at be confusingly. "Look at that, Jade! That's a heart, right?" I pointed out at the sky full of stars.
