He hovered on top of me and began to slap the hell out of me.

I lost concentration as I felt like my face is tearing. But I had to do something.

I hit him with a stone on the side of the head and I pushed him. I crawled to the gallon and pull of the lid.

Without thinking I poured the content on Adrian and made a trail back to the house.

"What...what are you doing?" He asked frightened.

"I will kill you before you kill me Adrian miller, I am not weak and I won't let you hurt me anymore". I yelled in rage.

" Lily...stop..stop this, its not funny". He begged in a trembling voice.

"You won't ever forget me after this Adrian miller, I promise".

"I will kill you lily if you lit that lighter. I won't ever spare you." he stood, moving with careful steps pleading to me.

I never thought the lighter I took out from that disgusting man's pocket while looking for the keys will come in handy.

"Stay there or I will throw it to you" I threatened.

I moved slowly keeping an eye on him, I held bc's hand and pulled his unconscious self into the woods.

Adrian ran behind me and in a fluid movement, I threw the lighter on his body and he caught on fire.

He screamed so loud, it echoed the forest. I fell on my knees, crying loudly, so much that I have never cried before.

I didn't regret what I just did, all the memories of him torturing me and BC with the mean chicks filled my mind.

I didn't feel a bit of remorse towards him and I hoped he dies.

My heart ached, my body and soul weeped. I pulled on my hair screaming my lungs out, there was too much pain in me.

He trailed back to the house and it all caught on fire. I heard him continue to scream till I couldn't anymore.

I felt stronger than ever and from that same day, I promised myself to be a fighter, I promised to work hard for what I believe is right and never will I let anyone look down at me.

It was a promise to myself.

Kendrick's POV.

I opened my eyes slowly flickering them at the white ceiling.

I closed them again and groan when I felt pain my head.

"Kendrick, oh darling, I was so worried". my aunt came in sight, she looked worried, stroking my hair gently.

"You are awake thank God". she placed a kiss on my forehead.

My jaw dropped and I gaze at her in amusement. Is she sick or something?

My aunt has never shown me any affection before and now she's kissing and stroking my hair.

I looked around and saw grey and lily at the door. I smiled at the sight of lily and she walked forward.

"What happened?, how?" My voice dropped, hoarsy.

"Don't worry about that, we are safe and you will be fine". she said and assured me with a smile.

"Adrian?" I further asked not content for I don't know what or where he is.

"Oh..don't worry about that kendy, everything is gonna be fine". I darted my eyes to her, the way she speaks only convinces me more that she's only pretending.

The doctor walked in and checked on me.

"How are you feeling now?" The doctor, she asked.

"Better but my head still hurts" I answered.

She nods and said "you have lost a lot of blood and your body has gone through excessive exhaustion so because of that you will be feeling a little weak and a slight headache but I assure you it wont last a few days."

I nod in understand "thank you".

"I am glad you are alright bro" grey said as he stood in front of my bed.

Glad?, grey is never glad for anything good happening to me or maybe he's just glad that am in a hospital.

"So this is your friend?" My aunt asked, her eyes scanning lily.

"My best friend". I corrected with my weak voice.

She gave me a cold look which I knew was genuine but the smiles and kisses weren't but quickly added.

"Its good you are making friends kendy".

What the heck.
