Five years later.

Lily's pov.

I woke up before my alarm went off as usual, a knowing happy smile thinned my lips, I stretched before yanking the comforter off of me. I hate being late for anything.

I took a long soothing shower, afterwards I applied my cream and wore a black pencil knee skirt and a white blouse.

As I sat infront of the mirror, I stared at my glasses, musing over the memories I had with it, although I don't really use it everyday now, the memories still cringe me.

I have changed, everything about me has changed except for two things. My now chest long hair and the memories of my one and only friend I have ever had, Bc.

I remember vividly the day I watched him leave me and Austin for good.

Those tears  still feels wet when I remember, I know we weren't the bestest of friends and for long but he held normalcy with it and comfort that I needed and maybe peace of mind too.

His mom's best friend (Marie). Adopted him after some paperwork, they left.

I lost all contact of him and I never heard from him again.

I sighed and began to comb hair.

"Ah, Miss cruise, you are never late are you?" The sales manager joked as I made my way up the long staircase toy office.

"Not in a million years". I stated with a smile.

He chuckled and passed me.

"Good morning sir"  I greeted mr David( My boss).

"Morning Miss cruise, you are looking gorgeous like always". He complimented.

I smiled. "Thank you sir, sir is there anything you may need before.."

"Miss cruise if I need anything then I will let you know, for now there are some files I want you to sort out."

I nod the quickly used my mouth as nodding was not one of the ways he likes his answer. "Ok sir" I walked out.

As soon as I sat in my chair, I began with the few files in front of me before they pile up.

I lean back in my chair after I was done and took a deep breath.

That weak and helpless lily got adopted.
I am now a confident, hardworking and a no bullshit young woman.

A knock came from the door and I quickly put my glasses back on.

Mr David walked in and stood in front of me.

David is a man of his words, he has earn himself a reputation in the business world. And he also owns this company.

He is a tall, and honestly handsome young man, that all of the women working here are dying for, well except for me.

I won't deny the fact that he is handsome. The responsible kind of handsome with stubble and a good physique but I just don't see what to die for there.

"Miss cruise, I have an urgent meeting now. So you can take the rest of the day off but reschedule my meeting with the Chinese for tomorrow morning". He addressed me.

"Yes sir" I said.

He started walking but stopped in his tracks, looked like he wanted to add something but he turn and just left.

I quickly completed all my work and got my things together.

"Lily" someone called as I stepped out of the office and I knew who it is.

"Where are you going, don't tell me he told you to take the rest of the day off again" Chloe said in a sad tone.

I made a pained face and said. "He did, now what am I gonna do with all this torture". I placed a hand on my  forehead, for dramatic effects.

She laughed. "You can share it with me since that's what friends are for".

"Ha ha very funny but you know you aren't getting the rest of the day off".

"Lucky you" .she pout.

I giggle. "See you later Chloe".

"Have fun And I will be working my butt off". She rolled her eyes

"Have fun". I mocked.

Chloe became my friends  six months ago. She has been trying to be my friend for the past year and four month.

But I just couldn't see any friends in my plan so I ignored all her little tries to talk to me, besides having a name from the past I wanted to forget, that didn't just sit right with me.

But then she wouldn't stop trying And I eventually gave up, after all it's nice to just have someone to talk to around, she's not that Chloe afterall.

"Mam, this is for the you". the company driver handed a card to me.

"What is this?" I asked even though it's obvious.

"Someone gave me this card to give you". He said

"Who?"

"A man in a car outside".

"A man, didnt he tell you who he is". I frowned.

"No but maybe he's still outside". With that being said he walked away.

I took the card and hurried outside.

As soon as I step out, a black Ferrari with tinted glasses took off.

"Hey!!". I shouted.

It's no use but who is it.
