I walk down the hallway not allowing the room number to slip away from my head, the look of pain and sadness in people's eyes. I wish I could take all their pain away.

Being in a hospital is one of the things I hate doing but at the same time an ungrateful person wouldn't know how blessed he is untill he visited a hospital.

I passed on it but I quickly stop and turn back. I grab the knob and pushed it.

Grey threw his head back when I entered, his eye bags are visible and he looked so pale, I wonder what she's making him go through.

"Brother" he stood up and gave me a hug, I hugged him back.

"What happened to her?" I asked as I pulled away, aunt is laying unconsciously or was she just sleeping. I couldn't tell but she looked so thin.

"Her blood pressure, she has been over working and not getting enough sleep" His voice carried alot of sadness.

No matter how bad someone's mother is, they can never hate her. Grey is a good person I knew it in my heart but at the same time he's just a son of a selfish bad woman.

"What did the doctor say?" I took my eyes off her and lay them on him, tapping him comfortably on the back.

"That she needs alot of rest and good food. I want to take her home as soon as she wakes up" he replied.

" Where have you two been staying these days?"

"Nowhere in particular, she believed you haven't truly forgiven her so she will live the life she put you through. We have been feeding on bread and water, sleeping anywhere" His voice and eyes cannot lie to me.

"What!" Some how I felt guilty, I should have checked on them to see if they had gone back home or not but how could my aunt do this?. Is there actually any good in her after all.

"Stay here and I will be right back" I told him and he nod.

As soon as I stepped out I did the only thing I could think of, she's my aunt after all, whether I like it or not they are my family. My only real family, I cannot leave them and turn my back on them when I can help them. I am not that bad of a person.

I called lily and she picked on the second ring. "Hey, could you come to the hospital please"

"Hospital?, What..who is sick?" Her tone sounded worried, I wished I could help with the situation but I couldn't think of anyone else, even though I wanted not to stress her again.

"Lily it's my aunt, please bring them some food and come soon, I will send you the address".

"Oh!, What happened to her?"

"I will tell you when you get here".

"Ok". She hang up.

I went directly to the doctors office, he explained everything and that it's just so much stress, her bp will be stable soon and she will be alright.

I sigh of relief as I heard that, I walked back to the room but before I could go in lily called. I directed her to the room, she arrived in no time.

I was sitting beside grey in silence when she stepped in, we both turn to look at her.

"Hi, how is she doing now?" She placed two baskets of fruit and food on the centre table.

I stood up and let her sit, she threw me a smile, I did too. Grey explained everything again to her, she nod as he speak but her mind wasn't with him and I could see that.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as i took her hand and stepped outside the room.

"I heard the nurses speaking that a woman has lost alot of blood and they don't have her blood at the blood bank but I could help, I want to help her Bc". she looked very uneasy.

"I am B+" she added when I didn't say anything and just observed her, It's a good deed and I wasn't gonna stop her but she's not fully recovered too.

"I promise I feel fine and I want to do it". She convinced

I nod and she took my hand to the doctor, he was very happy when he heard what she had to say. We followed him to a room where lily lay, I thought she will jump on me by the sight of a syringe but she didn't, I was the one about to jump on her by the sight of it but of course I won't let it show. She's not a drama queen and she's brave.

The little things she does are what makes me feel attracted to her, I like her and that won't change, am happy to be around her. She makes me happy.

"You have really saved a life today" The doctor said with a big smile.

"It's okay, I am happy to help" she told him and I could see she's happy to do it. Lily's blood will be running through someone's veins, they really are lucky in my eyes.

We sat there for thirty minutes after, lily ate some fruit and we went back to grey. I held her close to help her falling from the dizziness she started feeling.

"Grey you need some rest, you are coming with me". I said as I entered the room.

"No brother, I can't leave my mom here like this" He protested

"I will stay with her" lily quickly said.

"No, you will not stay here, I will not let you leave my sight lily" I scowl at her. She knows I won't let her stay here.

Her gaze fell from me to the floor, she knows I need to protect her I cannot leave her alone when I know what Adrian is capable of, I even tighten the security around my house just to make sure.

Two days later*

Aunt is being discharged today and am taking her to my house I know it's not easy to convince ma to let them stay but she will eventually give in am sure, she never refuses me anything.

I wonder why Adrian hasn't taken any actions upon his words. I knew he was bluffing, but I also knew he could do it even if he doesn't succeed, he could have tried but he didn't. I just hope he isn't planning something big and I won't let this be a reason for me to take my eyes off lily. It won't happen

I told grey and aunt to wait in the car while lily and I collect her reports from the doctor.

"How is the lady lily gave blood to?" I wanted to know if she's fine now I asked after I collected the reports

"Yeah about that, I wanted to talk to you two" he said and intertwined his hands together.

"Lily where's your mother?" The doctor's gaze was on lily and hearing his question made me look at her too. Where is Lily's mother?

She looked shocked like she could run out of her mind anytime soon. She clutch and fisted on her dress.

"My mother?" She repeated his question to no one in particular.

"As a doctor I cannot infuse any blood into a patient without testing it, the fact that you are B+ wasn't just enough and you two were in a hurry at the time, we also needed the blood so I took it for testing after you donated it. We found alot of matching properties in your blood which made us also run a few tests which include DNA".

Mine and Lily's eyes budge out, my breath ceased and I couldn't wait to hear the rest of what he has to say.

"That blood you donated and that of the lady matches a 100% and what I mean is we found it strange but she's related to you. Your DNA matches".
