Lily's POV.

I am your mother

I am your mother

I am your mother....

I just hate those four words, I hate them with passion,i hate her with passion. How dare that woman say such a thing, how dare she tell me that.

I have seen her once and how can I forget the reaction I got from her just when I told her my name. But...she's Laurence mother, Laurence... That same boy Laurence.

Maybe it's a lie

Maybe there's some misunderstanding.

I take my phone and call the doctor, thank God grey had it. I just wanted to know the truth so I asked him hoping to get the thought out of my head but he said...

"Lily, this is the truth of the matter. She asked me herself who the angel was that saved her life and I told her it was you. I remembered your name from the first meeting and that's when she told me that she's your mother but she also begged me not to tell you but I couldn't as a doctor and as a human being I couldn't hide such a truth from you". Those are the doctor's words.

I felt all my energy drained and I collapsed on the ground.

*Flash back.*
Lily at 8yrs old.

Third person POV....

"Dad, where's my shoes" lily shouted sitting on a chair wiggling her feet that are covered with socks.

"Coming sweetheart" her dad shouted a reply from the kitchen.

"My socks are getting dirty" she whinned.

"I told you not to move. Coming princess" he said and hurried out of the kitchen holding her lunch book on one hand and her shoes on the other.

He squatted Infront of her to put on her shoe when she ask where her school bag is. He sighed and got up to bring it when she grabbed his big wrist with both her hands and asked.

"Daddy you never come to my school meeting?" She complained

"That's because daddy is busy dear" he said and gently tapped her cheek.

"But everyone's parent come for the PTA meeting. Where's my mom?" She ask with watery eyes.

Her dad felt a sharp pain in his heart. It's been eight years since lily was born and he has been the only one working day and night for his princess. How can he explain to her the one question she asks him all the time, he couldn't make live without wanting to know about her mother. He thought he has failed as a good father.

"Tell me daddy, why don't I have a mom?" She pulled on his hand looking up at him with sad watery eyes.

He smiled, a sad soft painful smile.

Because she's left us lily. That's what he wanted to say, that's what he should say but how can he explain that to an eight year old girl.

"She's gone lily" he told her softly trying to find his voice to explain it to her understanding.

"That's what you always say. Gone where? Tell her to come back" she cried.

"She won't come baby. She won't" he says to him it just feels like he's blurting. He couldnt bring himself to lie to the little girl. After all the woman he's lying for doesn't deserve it, she left him with a baby three days after lily was born. He begged and cried for her to stay at least for their little girl but she just didn't.

Tears pool in his eyes too, the memories still feels fresh. All the screaming, the pain, the tears, everything he had to go through from feeding a crying baby begging for her mother's milk to an eight year old innocent girl.

After everything he has gone through, at the end of the pain there's always a smile. A smile, a beautiful smile that wipes all his sadness away, a smile that reminds him that everything he did was worth it and he hasn't regret a single bit of it.

"I am not going to school anymore. I want my mommy now, all my friends have their mommy. Where's my mommy daddy" she cried, her face turning red. He wiped the tears that fell from his eyes and tried reasoning with her but she refused blindedly throwing her lunch and bagpack on the floor screaming for her mother.

The poor girl woke up in the morning and as usual went to brush her teeth when she noticed red stains on her ducky pajamas.

She got frighten thinking that she injured herself while sleeping but how can that be possible. She thought.

She removed her pajamas gently holding her breath and avoiding the cloth from touching her skin. She's afraid it might scratch where she got hurt.

She stepped out of her clothes laying on the floor and looked down, blood flowed down her thighs and her eyes widen.

She screamed and her dad came running.

"What happened?" He asked as he ran into the room.

"Dad, am bleeding" she blurted frightenedly.

"Bleeding?, How, where, what happened?" He asked worriedly and rushed to the bathroom.

"How did you get hurt and where, Come out" he said banging softly on the door.

Lily fell silent not knowing how to tell her dad that she doesn't feel any pain nor is she hurt but she's bleeding down there.

She was on her first period and didn't know what to do more over she can't tell her dad anything. She simply couldn't.

"Lily speak to me" her dad said making her swallow hard.

Although she's frightened and have zero idea of what to do, she still isn't freaking out for some way or the other she knows about it in school.

"Where's my mom?" She shouted out of frustration.

"Huh" she heard him say confused.

"I want my mom to see me not you. Go get my mom, tell her to come otherwise I won't come out" she yelled.

"Lily don't be childish, open the door you are making me so worried".

"You always tell me that's she's gone, then tell her to come back NOW!!!"

"She won't come back and that's why I say she's gone".

"But gone where"?

"She doesn't want you. She left you without a single glance. Now open this door or I will break it down lily Rachel Cruise". He shouted sternly and annoyed.
