Lily's dress

Venessa's dress.

Lily's POV.

I got ready and wore a little make up, not that I wanted to wear make up or I like wearing it because I don't. I just felt like wearing a little, I don't want this beautiful dress to just hang without any more shimmer.

Bc chose my dress, it actually was a surprise. I got so shocked when I saw it. It was so beautiful but at the same time I thought why such a dress. It's just a reunion and I could wear whatever I got.

It's not just a reunion lily it's more than that. After years everyone must have become something or must be in the process of making it big. And to me it's war, I need to be at my best.

BC's words replayed in my head, that's exactly what he said when I asked why he bought such a dress for me.

Am not being ungrateful because I have never worn anything like that before, it's absolutely stunning and I can't wait to be in it.

I sprayed myself with perfume after am done with my makeup, the dress fitted like a glove. It looks like my second skin exposing all my curves. I smiled at myself.

I have done a pretty good job with my make up tonight, I styled my hair carefully after curling it in a wavy bun letting some curly strands to fall in front of my face.

I wore a nude lipstick with a darker eyeshadow reflecting my dress and making my eyes pop.

I grabbed my silver clutch purse after throwing the mirror one last smile I went downstairs where Bc is waiting for me.

The gentle clicking of my heels and the strong perfume I wore must have gained me everyone's attention.

I felt nervous when all the attention was focused on me like a celebrity. C'mon people your eyes aren't helping.

I looked at everyone briefly before landing my eyes on BC. He looked absolutely breathtaking in his black tux and black shoes. His thick hair is neatly combed but not loosing it's curl or jelled.

His hair is combed back and as usual it fell all the way to his neck covering his skin from behind. His eyes gleam as he stood there with all might.

I have never found him more handsome.

His eyes were already on me when my gaze feel on him then he quickly took his eyes off me and blinked a few times. Then he looked at me again and looked away.

I fought a smile on my lips as I made my way towards him, his cheeks had turn pink and he looked more nervous than I am.

"You look absolutely mesmerizing". ma complimented, her eyes wide with what I think is amusement to me and I couldn't help giggle.

"She's not wrong" uncle added, ma kissed my forehead and hugged me slightly like she would ruin my make up or dress if she hugs me tighter.

"You-you look very beautiful tonight, I mean, you always look beautiful-but today you..". He stutters nervously. Its kinda funny seeing this side of him, I have never seen him nervous before.

"I get it, today I look the most beautiful you don't have to take the trouble. Your nervousness shows it all". I tell him with a mischievous smile.

"Oh"
He said and tried to look more neutral, the pink on his cheeks  just deepen .I smiled at his actions.

The party was held at a very big hotel, which I didn't even know existed. I mean it's not like I could go around London looking at hotels but the point is I have never been to that part of the city till today.

The car slowly came to a stop and suprisngly I found myself calmer than I thought I would be. My heart was racing definitely and I felt nervous but not that much of nervourness to become much of a deal.

So many big and extremely expensive cars, some that I have never seen before were packed. The entire venue lights up like daylight maybe because of the press flashing lights and taking pictures everywhere that you could feel blinded.

I looked over at BC who I caught staring at me. I threw a lazy yet sheepish smile at him.

He blinked frantically at me not taking his eyes off me "Ready?" He asked.

I swallowed " I guess so".

"But just one more thing, if you don't put your glasses on how will anyone recognize you" he said but I knew he was teasing me.

"I don't want anyone to recognize me as the same four eyed bathroom crier. I want everyone to remember me as lily cruise, this lily cruise" I told him with a strong voice and that made me feel more confident.

"With that look, you are gonna give them a memory of their life" he assures, I smiled.

Bc took my hand in his after stepping out of his Royce Roy

(OMG. I like the car Royce Roy) lol. I don't even know if that's how you spell it🤣.

As soon as I stepped out of the car the camera started flashing us with lights and the press ran to BC throwing questions at him.

One thing I have seen and am sure of is that, it doesn't matter if bc isn't the biological son of his parents, they love each other and they are proud of him.

His dad's company would never have grown this big without him, I never said this but everyone use to say it that since he took over the business it just bloomed and everyone knew him.

You can say he earned alot more of reputation to his ma and dad in the business world and beyond.

He frown at them all not leaving my hand, we manouvered ourselves through the crowd and went in.

A large security man was standing at the entrance. As soon as he saw us, he told bc that he's a VIP and took us to a suite where he told us to sit before the event starts and out from the press.

Bc didn't argue with him although I felt he wanted to but when he mentioned the press, I knew that's why he decided to just follow the man and stayed in the room.

To Bc, this is more than just a reunion and he's right it's more than that to me too. I thought reunions are just parties that school mates he after years of separation to see each other again.

But this is different, it's bigger than I expected. It's more like a party for the rich and influencial only. Maybe this is just a way of making a dramatic appearance by everyone but I doubt if many rich people aren't invited and those that didn't even go to the same highschool as all of us.
