Two days later*

Kendrick's POV.

I stood in front of the mirror combing my hair and to my surprise I am smiling at myself or was it just the mirror deceiving me, but could it though?.

And why am I smiling?.. Strange but you can just say because am happy, which is an obvious reason.

And why am I happy? Because today is Lily's first day at work as my new assistant.

Who's excited?, I know I am.

Trust me it was not easy to convince her to work with me, for some reason she thinks I have done more than enough by bringing her to my house. But that's not the case for me, I can do anything for Lily.

I liked her company around, I liked talking to her and I still do, she's my best friend and bringing to my house is the least I could do.

Especially now that I still haven't figured out who scar is. Shock would be an understatement of what I felt when she told me about Venessa and the flowers she receives.

What the heck is happening to us. I honestly thought I would never get to see Venessa or Adrian ever again in my life but I was wrong.

This world is so small that it just goes and come around.

But I know it wasn't just coincidence for Venessa to work exactly where Lily is. I know how influencial her dad is and I know what extent he can go to do anything for her.

And how do I know that? Because her dad. Mr Richard lane has been wanting to work with my company three months now.

Did I say this world goes around and comes around. Yeah it does!! I refuse all the time because I want nothing to do with him or his daughter but I guess whether I like it or not that cunning woman just knows how to trouble lily.

I am not going to sit back and let lily face any more problems alone. I am here for her.

But one thing bothers me the most of all and that is how Lily and I got connected to scar at the same time.

If I hadn't meet her that day then she would have been receiving flowers with notes that clearly mean that whoever scar is then he must be in love with lily.

Or just pretending to be in love with her through notes. But why would anyone pretend to be in love with someone that doesn't know them.

What could he possibly want from lily?.

I sat down on the bed and furrowed my brows. I have never thought about things like this before.

And if you think about it, I have just two enemies which are Venessa and Adrian.

Venessa is back with the same motive but where is adrian.?

Lily said she set him on fire that day. But what if he's dead or what if he's not dead.

"Scar" I muttered and bit on my lower lips, I feel cold all of a sudden and I removed my suit.

"Now my only mission will be to find out who scar is, only finding that out will make me know if scar is-".

Holy s*, I ran both my hands through my hair placing my elbows on my legs, I buried my face and groan.

"Who is scar". I asked myself.

Adrian Miller or a new villian we didn't even wrong who just likes lily and wants to bring me down.

A knock came from my door making me suck In a heavy breath and pausing my thoughts.

"Good morning". I stare at her, her smile is so innocent. Her smile and eyes, her whole expression is dying to tell me things that even lily doesn't know of and I just can't grab them.

"Morning". I gave her a half smile. Who could possibly have the heart to hurt this innocent sweet looking lily. Her glasses only makes her look more innocent and smart.

I like her wearing her glasses, it's the only thing that didn't change in her.

"What are you thinking about?" She snap her fingers Infront of my face.

I frown "uh-nothing, Let's go" I said and grab my suit and bag.

She followed me down the stairs, ma was sitting at the table having breakfast with dad.

"Good morning". We greeted in unison. I glanced at her and she just giggle.

"Good morning you two, have breakfast before leaving.  Ma suggested taking a sip of her tea.

"No ma, we will be late. I haven't gone to the office in a while". I say

"Ok but let lily have breakfast first".

"It's okay aunt, we will just go". lily piped in.

Ma looked at her then to me and shook her head.

I smile and kissed her goodbye before reaching for the door but before I could it shoot open and there stand my aunt and grey.
