The loud gasp of the crowd overtook the loudness of the speaker. I guess no one was expecting to see who scar or wasn't expecting Adrian to be scar.

I just shook my head and smirked, Darkly.

I glanced at lily who looked completely breathtaking, from her hair to her feet, she looked like a goddess. Her beauty radiating around me.

She has always been beautiful and today I just can't help but glue my eyes to her, if I had kissed her the last time I wanted to then I would have been foolish because now is the perfect time to.

Wait!  Why did I just say that?

The thought just couldn't leave my head and now it's gotten worst that she's standing so gorgeously beside me.

I pressed on her hand gentle and she looked up at me, I smile to assure her she can do it. She looked nervous and like she is about to freak out of her mind.

She smiled or should I say managed to smile and nod slightly. The crowd cheered and clapped loudly as I walked in holding hands with lily.

There were like a thousand faces but I was focusing to find only one which I didn't.

The look of shock and amazement some kept giving me was bewelling. So many faces of which I recognize as my so called class mates, everyone was there and am seeing them after so long.

Maybe not everyone knew my face, just my name and I could tell by their faces. It says

Oh my God! It's Kendrick from highschool. Look at him.

And some says.

When did he become so rich, he's sooo dreamy.

And some expressions are like

Wait, those two are still alive, I can't believe how changed they are.

I chuckle at the thought, I made all this in my mind and it's funny although that's the best way I can interprete those looks we are getting.

The party was in full swing with all my highschool mates even though I left the school without graduation they are still my mate.

I wasn't as invisible through highschool as I wanted to due to Adrian, nor did I make any friends except for Lily. People kept hugging one another, there were alot of constant screaming from the women just by seeing each other after decades but no one even looked at my direction with a sense of Knowing.

Everyone is staring with a puzzled or shock look and that's exactly what I want them to feel.

I wasn't going to get drunk not at all, not this night. That's why when lily handed over the apple juice to me I took it silently.

Lily's POV.

The coldness that struck through my body was more than enough to make me want to bury myself right there and then when Adrian's name was called.

Bc is right, Adrian is scar. But how can Adrian be scar? I had set him on fire myself. Who will answer the million questions I have right now.

Those flowers, the notes send shivers down my spine. Those notes are written with a strong word and sense of authority. I would never have accepted those flowers under normal circumstances, those notes would have freaked me out.

Whatever will happen now, I am going to be ready for it. I refuse to be tormented, I refuse to be put down and I refuse to silently walk away from the insults

I WILL NOT TOLERATE IT NOW!

I notice alot of eyes on me and bc, maybe due to our past history in highschool or how changed and amazing we look right now.

Yeah! Let them eat that up.

Mouth were hanging, eyes were literally popping out and I smiled that's what I wanted, the reaction. It doesn't matter if no one approaches us to talk to us as a classmate after all these years which I know no one will. I am good with that.

"MR HART and MR SCAR, we would like to put you through a little competition. It won't really be a competition but we would like to know how the two of you became successful in a couple of years"

I remember the lady saying that, she's the one who introduced bc as a special guest and she was also the girl who did all the announcement of gossip in class. Guess the name followed her. I chuckle at that and rolled my eyes.

Bc didn't move an inch and the mic was brought to him, I still couldn't see Adrian anywhere but I know he's around.

"The secret to success is simple. A coward never succeed because his dominator chases him away". I heard a voice, I heard that voice that I will never forget but where is he.?

"When weak people finally become strong then a mere competition seem nothing till they build an empire. I believe the business word has no room for criminals". Bc said in a strong voice, his expression has hardened but he's also smiling slightly.

My palms are getting sweaty.

"I became successful because I can crash, wipe, dominate and get my competitors out of the way" Adrian's voice echoes from nowhere.

"And I became successful because I can rise, stand and conquer"  Bc stood up all of a sudden, he stood straight and gently folded his hands behind him and starts walking.

When I look up straight, there stood Adrian Miller infront. No, no not stood he was also walking towards us. The crowd has gone silent and the spot light was on the two of them coming face to face with each other.

Adrian's didn't change one bit except for his extremely sharp jaw, his hair has been combed backwards but not jelled, his hard expression. His  both hands in his pocket as he walked slowly with mighty steps as If the hotel, ground or should I say earth belongs to him.

"I am successful today because I don't hide, I stand face to face with my enemies and I don't forgive" Adrian said his face carried no emotions as he came to stand in front of bc.

Bc's face carried the same emotion, strong, hard and emotionless. "Success doesn't need to be told, actions and people determine how successful you are. I hope you have read the name of this hotel before you step in" BC smirked, a jaw breaking smirk that screams of authority, confidence.

I saw Because he turn to look at me and so did Adrian his eyes fell on me as the lights came all back.

My heart jumped to my tongue but I maintained myself, I stood my ground and looked directly into Adrian's eyes.
