Kendrick's POV.

One week later.

"Seriously it's been one week lily"
This time it's starting to get annoying it's like explaining a simple thing to a baby.

"Yeah I know but what if it's not a good idea, scar will be there, Venessa too and everyone". she sounded so afraid.

"It's a reunion lily, it's a party. We all attended the same highschool and we need to go" I explain.

"But.."

" No but lily. Don't you see, this is what we want. What if scar isn't even who we think he is but just a special guest that will be there, we still need to find out". I pulled her to come and sit beside me on the edge of the bed.

"Lily you are strong, you are confident and courageous and above all you found all these qualities now. You are changed and I know you can handle anything talkless of a mere reunion party" I assured, explaining softly to her, I meant every word.

" You think so" she asked innocently.

"Absolutely" I answered, all of a sudden I felt the urge to kiss her.

Oh my God get out of my head! Everytime we stared into each other's eyes she takes her eyes away first from mine.

Maybe she's shy or I don't know but she doesn't stare into my eyes for more than five seconds.

Strange, because that's what I use to do before.

I raised her chin slowly and she looked back at me, with gentle hands I removed her glasses.

What are you doing Rick. Stop!

But u don't want to stop. My eyes darted to her lips, her soft looking pink lips.

What if she stops me or even slap me! Oh God Rick stop!.

I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and she blinked twice by my action.

I held and cupped the side of her face and her breathing slowly turned heavy as our faces lean into each other's.

She's not stopping me, why?

I searched her eyes for permission and she lean in more clutching a feast full of my shirt at the side of my left rib.

I swallowed hard as I stared at her lips inches away from mine. She slowly closed her eyes waiting to connect our lips.

Suddenly a knock interrupted us and she jumped away from me just in time for ma to walk in.

Lily's POV.

As soon as I woke up I remembered today is the day. Today is the reunion party, everyone will be there.

My heart beating rate increased without even getting out of bed. It's too early to get tensed.

Bc will be there with me after all, there's nothing to worry about and he's right I can handle anything life throws at me now.

Even a kiss from my best friend.

Ew! The word best friend and kiss don't really go together I think. I frown

But who cares, I smiled. I can't believe I almost kissed bc what was I thinking.

Urgh! I slapped my forehead.

"Don't think about it now lily, there's no need to get creepy" I told myself.

"But kiss, bc-oh God!" I grabbed a pillow and hit my head with it.

"Party matters tonight lily, Only party". I scold myself and tried to focus on the party tonight instead.

I took deep calming breath and assured myself I can face it.

I lied.
"No, I cannot face it" I stood in front of a mirror holding my dress for the evening.

It's not too late to back out is it? Bc looks so happy and calm about it and am getting out of my mind.
