Kendrick's POV.

"If anything happens to lily Adrian, then I swear i will make you regret ever knowing me." My blood was boiling and all I could think of was smashing his head through a wall.

But Lily lean into me like a lifeless body when I tried walking. I quickly grab her before she could fall.

"Lily" I tapped her cheek, She's not waking up.

"What happened?" Adrian asked and I shoot him a dead glare that he raised his hands in surrender.

"She's fainted" I muttered and carried her bridal style and hurried out of there.

I took her home and called the family doctor, I have no idea why she fainted but am so worried.

"What happened to her?" Ma and dad rushed to the door as I walked out with the doctor.

"She's fine, there's nothing to worry about. She will wake up soon" the doctor told them and said his goodbyes.

Ma sighed in relief and they walked in while I saw the doctor out. When I came back only ma was sitting beside lily, gently I sat beside her.

"How did she faint?" She asked.

"I don't know what happened, she just fainted"  I hoarsed. "thank God she's alright now otherwise-" I breath out running a  hand through my hair, thinking what I would do if anything had happened to lily.

It's strange and unspeakable, I  don't even want anything to happen to her.

I want her, I need her.

I sigh and glanced at lily sleeping peacefully. 

"It's okay, she's fine now". I heard ma assured.

I noded.

"Is there anything else or it's just love that's  bothering" she grin in a teasing manner.

"Huh?".

"You think I didn't notice how you were looking at her this days". she said mischievously.

I gave her a confused not so confused look. I might or might not know what she's talking about.

"Don't give me that look"! She narrowed a brow.

"What are you talking about right now?" I asked blankly

"Ah, I see, the pretending game" she winked.

Did she just...

"You will figure it out and when that happens, you will meet me, but for now am sure there's more to being just friends". After whispering the last part, she tapped me on the shoulder and left.

I stared into empty space for a while before dragging my lazy eyes back to lily.

My gaze was completely on her, I wonder if anyone has ever told her how beautiful she looks sleeping with her glasses on.

I smiled leaning in to remove her glasses, her face up close is so beautiful. I could look all day at her lips, the urge to kiss her came back and this time it's worst than the last, I looked away

I kissed her, I kissed lily. I effing kissed her.

I placed one hand on my waist and the other on my head, my thoughts are mixed up, I licked my lower lip, deep in thought but her scent was all over me.

She didn't even try to stop me and am so glad she didnt,
her lips were so soft, her eyes, the way she looked at me, her innocent.

I smiled, How I wanted to do that, It was actually good she pushed me away Otherwise she wouldn't imagine what things my stupid mind was making me see.

What is wrong with me?.

But I can't give in to distractions, I have to protect lily from Adrian. I know exactly what length he can go to do anything. I won't let him harm her, I am just as smart and powerful as he is and he has seen nothing yet of what I can do.

My phone started ringing in my pocket and I took it out.

"Hello". I spoke first
it's an unknown number.

"Brother"
His voice shakes as he sob.

"Grey?, What happened why are you crying" I asked worriedly.
