Kendrick's POV.

I held onto Lily's hand as we both continue to scream into the woods.

She's crying profusely and I just let her. I do not have the words to calm here now. She should cry, she has gone through enough already for a day and now this, I am so confused and stressed out

"Dad, where are you?" She shouted her lungs out for the same four words and for the past hour.

She fell on her knees crying, I also felt like crying. This time I didn't try to comfort her even though it hurts me to see her I'm this condition.

She does deserve such a world, she has never hurt anyone so why is she getting punished like this. It's been an hour since her dad ran out of the house upon hearing Mrs tombson's scream.

We all ran after him but a sharp sudden extreme light was that could blind beamed at us making us loss vision temporarily and before it could wearoff her dad and Mrs tombson was no where to be found.

We have been shouting their names around everywhere we could reach but to no avail.

My phone started ringing, I reach into my pocket and brought it out. Ma's calling.

I mentally slapped my self in the face. I completely forgot to tell my ma where I am or was going.

I knew we had a misunderstanding but I should have told her at least, she will be worried sick and think that I am doing whatever I want now as she said to me.

I stared at the phone till it stopped ringing. I don't know what to say, I don't feel like talking to her now maybe I might end up saying something to worsen everything. I will just call her later.

That was what was written and pasted on the front door of Lily's aunt's house.

Her face paled even more as she saw the note and I gritted my teeth. Out of frustration I yelled and drop me my feasted knuckle into the wall running my hands through my hair a hundred times.

"It's Adrian. That's Adrian" I kicked on anything I could see as I kept walking in circles with my hands intertwined behind my head.

"It's ...it's Adrian Miller. I will kill him, I am going to kill him" I shouted feeling crazy.

I deserve to be going crazy at least to stop thinking and get some peace. How did he even know we are here. He must have followed us, only he can keep such notes, only he is our enemy and only he will want lily in exchange for her parents.

"He kidnapped them that mother f*"..

"Sh!" Lily placed her hand on my mouth shushing me. She gently removed my fingers from each other and held back onto my bruised hand.

She looked calmer than a minute ago, her tears has dried out, she took my hand to her lips and kissed it.

"Thank you" she cupped my face.

"For always being here for me through thick and thin. For supporting and giving me a shoulder to cry on" she smiled slightly.

"But bc I cannot continue to drag you into my problems anymore, this is something I have to do alone. I cannot keep making you worry and your family. I cannot risk putting them in danger too, I really do not want anything to happen to you, I want you. I need you but this is my fight now. Let me fight it alone" she stepped back turning her back on me she said.

"Go home Kendrick".

My lips parted as I dropped my hands to the side effortlessly. What am I hearing right now?

"What are you talking about?" I feel so left out, I felt incomplete, I felt hurt more than what I was feeling.

"This is personal. Go home and let me fight my own battles" she kept her back on me.

"Your own battles lily. If there were your own battles then why did you talk to me first?. Why did you make me you friend?. Why did you make your problems mine?. Why did you teach me to know my worth?. Why did you teach me to become a stronger person?. And why did you make me fall in love with you" my tears fell as I said the last part.

She's trying to look unaffected not wanting to look or stare into my eyes but I know better. I know she needs me just as much as I need her, I know I am her strength just as she is mine, I know she's my peace and I am hers, I know she loves me as much as I love her.

"Don't do this to me, because I will never leave you for anything, I am never going to let you face any problems on your own. You think he will leave me to live in peace if I just walk away. How could you want me to go back to the darkness after you brought me to light, why do you want me to run away like the coward I was once and let you face him alone".

"Lily I..." Before the words could fall from my lips she turn around quickly and glued our lips resulting into a passionate mixture of tears, pain and most importantly love.

I love her, I know I love her and whether she says it or not she loves me too, her shivering body calms upon my touch, her tears freezes upon my hugs and her heart dances upon my kiss.
