the bell rang and you got up from your seat. as the rest of the class filed out and headed towards the cafeteria, you sneakily walked into a stairwell and walked all the way upstairs.

you reached the final stair and opened the door to the rooftop. you walked out and saw jaemin sitting in the middle of the roof with lunch boxes in front of him.

you walked up to him, "hi."

he looked up and out his phone in his pocket, "hey, gorgeous." he stood up and kissed you. "how was class?" he asked.

"good," you answered and both of you sat down. "you got here fast," you mentioned.

"my teacher let us out five minutes early," he mentioned and opened the lunch boxes up. "okay, eat up! we gotta do well on our next exams!" he said.

you laughed and both of you started eating. you picked up some kimchi and ate it.

"ah, i love your mom's kimchi," you smiled and took a sip of water.

"aw, i thought you loved me more," jaemin pouted.

you pecked his cheek, "i love you the most," you said. "hey, i'm going to stay behind today. i have to clean the classroom and then i'm going to the library to study."

jaemin nodded his head while chewing. then he swallowed. "can i come? i need to study too."

you raised an eyebrow, "we both know that we won't get any studying done if we're together," you said to him and wiped your mouth with a napkin.

"okay, but what if we sat at separate cubicles?" he suggested.

"only if you sit in one that isn't near me," you said.

he pouted, "why can't it be one next to you?" he asked.

"cause you'll bother me! i need to study!" you exclaimed while he continued to pout. "don't make that face." he still pouted. you groaned and gave in, "ugh, fine. you can sit in the one next to me, but you have to promise me that you'll leave me alone so i can study."

"deal," jaemin replied and kissed your cheek again. he checked the time on his phone. you guys finished eating and jaemin packed up the lunch boxes. "do you wanna go back?"

you nodded your head, "i need to finish an assignment on my laptop."

"okay, let's go," jaemin replied. both of you stood up and he held your hand, while the other held the empty lunch boxes. you guys went downstairs to the floor your classroom was on and walked into your classroom. a few people were in there talking but you two just sat at where you and your seat mate's desks were. you opened your laptop and resumed typing your essay.

jaemin leaned his head on your shoulder while looking at his phone screen. you leaned your head on top of his while typing. after about fifteen minutes, you looked at the time and noticed that the lunch period was about to end. some of your classmates were walking back into the classroom.

"hey, you need to go to class," you said to him.

"huh? oh." you moved your head and jaemin stood up. "i'll see you later," jaemin said and kissed your cheek.

"bye," you waved and he walked out of the classroom.
