"here's your microphone and your script cards," a staff member handed the two items to you.

"thank you," you said as they walked away. you looked through the script cards and started rehearsing the lines by yourself.

"y/n?" you looked up and saw mark.

"hey mark!" you spoke and hugged him.

"hey, how are you?" he asked once you two stopped hugging.

"i'm doing good," you answered.

"congratulations on your album, it's really good," he said.

"oh, thank you so much," you responded. "how have you been? you and your group have been—"

"we're starting in thirty seconds!" someone shouted.

you and mark responded and prepared for everything to start. you started hosting the show and reading off of the script cards.

"y/n, this is your latest song, correct?" mark asked.

"ah yes, it is. and i hope everyone enjoys the song along with the rest of the album," you said to the camera. you looked at the script cards, "up next is nct u's "make a wish"!" you said.

"okay, you guys have five minutes," the director said to both of you.

mark grabbed two water bottles and handed you one.

"thanks," you said and put down the script cards and the microphone.

"yea," he responded and opened his bottle. you untwisted the cap and drank some water. "are you performing later?" he asked.

you shook your head, "mine was recorded earlier since i'm mc-ing today," you answered. "but you have to go later, right?" you asked him.

"yea, but ours is the last song before awards," he mentioned.

"hey, you guys have a concert soon, right?" you asked him.

"hm? oh, yea, we have one this weekend," he mentioned. "everyone has been preparing like crazy. hopefully, everything will go well," he said.

"i'm sure it will go great," you smiled at him. "i'll try to watch if i can, but i think i have to prepare for something else," you said to him.

"you're so nice, y/n. thank you," mark said.

"yea. i have to support my friends, right?" you said and both of you laughed.

"okay, we're about to start," the director said. you and mark grabbed the microphones and script cards.

"hey, do you want to grab a coffee sometime?" mark asked.

you smiled, "sure, just text me," you responded and mark smiled.
