"come on! let's go into the haunted house!"

"no way! it's too scary! i want to go into the mirror maze!"

jungwoo rolled his eyes at you, "it's a maze, y/n. all you do is get to the end while getting lost along the way."

"i always go in it when i'm here," you mentioned and pouted. "fine, you go to the haunted house. i'm going into the maze!" you said and started walking off.

"hey! y/n! i thought we were gonna do everything together?" jungwoo followed you as you went through the crowd.

"i'm not going in the haunted house, jungwoo," you said and approached the maze. you handed the worker some tickets. "see you later," you stuck your tongue out to him and walked into the maze.

"oh come on y/n!" jungwoo sighed. you heard him follow you in, so you decided to hide in one of the many dead ends. "y/n? y/n? where are you?" he called out as he lost you.

"boo!" you jumped out before he passed you. he jumped and turned around to look at you. you laughed at him while he tried to calm himself down. "why'd you come in here?" you asked him.

"i...i didn't want to leave you alone," he answered and shoved his hands in his pocket. "anyways, how do we get out of here?" he asked and looked around, only to see the reflections of you and himself.

"i'll show you," you grabbed his arm and started dragging him through the correct path. then, you got to second level of the maze and made it out within two minutes.

"wow, that was easy," jungwoo said.

"says the one that looked like a lost puppy when i disappeared," you commented.

"oh whatever," he rolled his eyes again, but then his eyes lit up, "well, since we went here, it's only fair that we go to the haunted house next."

you immediately ran away to the exit, which was a slide that went back down to the entrance, and slid down. you knew jungwoo was chasing you so you continued running away from him, however, he caught you and tightly held your forearm.

"come on, let's go to the haunted house, y/n," he said to you but you shook your head.

"i don't want to go!" you whined, but he started dragging you towards the haunted house. "jungwoo, i seriously don't want to go in. please, don't make me."

"yea, right. you love this kind of stuff. come on," he ignored your actual feelings. you reluctantly walked with him to the haunted house. once you arrived, jungwoo handed tickets to the worker. he released your forearm and held your hand, which made you calm down a tiny bit. "i wonder how many jump scares there are," jungwoo wondered as you two walked in. you stayed behind him and gripped onto his shirt with your free hand.

lights flickered and you kept hearing screaming from people. props were rattling and a few people dressed as zombies and killers jumped out. you cried while jungwoo was laughing the whole time. about what seemed like ten minutes, you put your face into jungwoo's back. he squeezed your hand every so often while walking.

"hey, y/n, we're out," jungwoo said. he stopped holding your hand and turned around. tears trickled down your face and you wiped them with the back of your hand. "oh shit, you really were scared of the haunted house," he finally realized after being oblivious for the past twenty minutes. he hugged you and rubbed a hand up and down your back.

"i told you that i didn't like this stuff!" you cried out with a sniffle.

"but you watch all of those zombie shows and scary movies! i thought you were just whining that they weren't cool enough!" jungwoo explained.

"tv is fake," you spoke and finally stopped crying.

"but that was fake too," he commented.

"it was close enough to being real!" you huffed out.

"okay, okay, how about we just go buy some cotton candy and try to catch a goldfish?" he changed the subject. you only nodded your head and he took your hand again. you stopped hugging him and both of you walked off towards the closest cotton candy stand.
