Third Person

brinnley then walked into class putting her phone into her pocket and sitting down next to ashton. they were lab partners so their seats were next to each other.

"hey so i was wondering, are you and that zach guy, the famous one, like dating or?" ashton asked her as they both grabbed their goggles and aprons for the lab they had to do.

"um no we are just friends. why were you wondering that?" brinnley asked confused.

ashton looked flustered as if he didn't know how to answer "um i- it's- you know we need a test tube let me go get us one" he said and walked away.

brinnley still looked confused but brushed it off. she was reading the instructions for the lab when she heard people whispering about her.

"so zach herron is friends...with her? literally for what?" one of the girls said causing her friend to snicker in response. brinnley rolled her eyes and turned to the girls.

"so do y'all really have nothing better to do other than focus on my life? wow thanks i'm so honored to be the person you think about 24/7. you know i could tell zach that his fan base is growing and that there are fans that are so obsessed with his personal life if you want me to" brinnley said to them.

they both looked stunned and didn't know what to say. "no? any takers? going once, going twice, gone" brinnley said as she turned back to her lab with a smirk on her face.

"hey i got the test tube for us" ashton said walking up to brinnley waving it. brinnley gave him a small smile and nodded in response as they began working on the assignment.

once the period ended brinnley put her goggles and apron away and collected her things and began to walk out. when she went to go find amara so they could walk together she felt an arm on her shoulder.

she turned around to see ashton with a smile on his face. "so what class are you headed to next?" he asked her.

brinnley blushed a bit at the fact that he had his arm around her shoulder, but she soon remembered he had a girlfriend so slipped out of his hold. "i have english next, i'm looking for amara though so we can walk together"

ashton nodded, "so are you going to xander's beach house for his annual party tomorrow? cause you know everyone is gonna be there"

brinnley forgot all about the party. she goes with evelyn and amara every year, "oh i cant this year, i'm hanging out with zach tomorrow"

ashton's smile fell from his face but tried to quickly play it off, "oh yeah that's cool also, have fun with him tomorrow, um i gotta head to math i'll catch you later"

before brinnley could say anything he ran off she watched him run away with a confused look on her face and amara looked at her with the same look.

"what's wrong with him?" amara asked looking at the direction ashton ran in. brinnley shrugged and the two them walked off to english.
