Third Person

zach was waiting outside in his car for brinnley so he could take her on a date and ask her out officially. he was nervous she would say no, but he shook those thoughts away and went over how the night would go.

he was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the side door open and saw brinnley putting on her seatbelt.

"hi!" she smiled and gave him a kiss on the check causing him to pout. "what?"

"what?" he mocked. "you kissed my cheek"

"okay?" brinnley furrowed her eyebrows. "oh! oh my god you're such a baby" she then kissed him on the lips making him smile.

"mhm i don't care what you say, i still got a kiss" zach smiled widely as he drove off.

the pair sat in comfortable silence for a moment until brinnley noticed zach kept glancing at her every five or so minutes.

"oh my god- zach look at the road please before we crash" brinnley told him.

zach chuckled, "i am it's just, you look so pretty"

brinnley turned red but tried to hide her face. "i hate you so much"

"no you don't" zach said laughing as the car came to a stop. "we're here" brinnley looked up to see them at a restaurant  that caused her to smile but furrow her eyebrows at.

"my favorite restaurant? we don't do restaurant dates" brinnley said as they both got out of the car.

zach took her hand and smiled. "well now we do, why you don't like it?"

brinnley shook her head, "i love it"

the two walk inside of the restaurant and are immediately seated since zach had a reservation. once they sat down they both looked at the menu to see what they wanted. the waiter came back a couple of minutes later and took their order once they were ready. the waiter then took their menus and the two talked amongst themselves while they waited for their food to arrive.

"so how was your day today?" zach asked taking a sip of the drink he got not too long ago.

"it was good, my dad and i went out and took zuzu and fluffy for a walk since clara claimed 'her toe hurt' even though she really just wanted to talk to weston" brinnley sighed.

"oh he's the kid she has a crush on right?" zach asked as brinnley nodded. "have you met him?"

brinnley shook her head, "i've never met him, i've never talked to him, i've never even seen him at school"

"wait you haven't seen him at your school?" zach questioned. "does he go there?"

"yeah he does, well that's at least what jess told me"

"so jess is the only one to see him? other than clara of course"

brinnley nodded, "yup, she won't even show me a picture of him, jokes on her though"

"why?" zach asked furrowing his eyebrows.

"i follow him on instagram so i see him post pictures" brinnley explained. "he seems like such a nice person though"

zach let out a deep breath, "well that's good, don't want her going out with some jerk"

"you sound like you're her dad" brinnley laughed.

"nuh uh thats cole's title, i'm just a little protective that's all" zach shrugged while brinnley smiled.

"more like a lot protective but i think it's very sweet" brinnley laughed a bit.
