Third Person

zach and brinnley spent basically the whole party together and would only leave each other's side to get a drink or if evelyn felt like she was going to throw up from drinking too much and brinnley would hold her hair while she did.

"brinnie, i'm gonna throw up again and amara saw a cute boy and i don't know where they went so i need help" evelyn said interrupting brinnley and zach's conversation.

brinnley sighed. "okay come on let's go to the bathroom, again, zach call amara and tell her to get her ass back here because it's her turn to deal with evelyn" zach nodded and pulled out his phone to call amara while brinnley and evelyn went to the bathroom.

as he was about to click her contact a hand grabbed his phone. he looked over to see ella, ashton, ella's friend maya, and xander. when he looked at xander he saw his phone in his hand.

"hey guys, um let's not take my phone" zach said reaching for it back but xander pulled back before he could get it.

"we just want to talk to you zach, and we haven't gotten the chance since you've been with brinnley all night" ella stated sitting up on the counter top right by zach, who quickly backed away.

"where is brinnley anyway?" ashton asked looking around.

"she went to the bathroom" zach told him.

"so zach what's it like being famous?" maya asked him looking starstruck.

"ohh i'm not famous, can you hand me my phone back i have to call someone" zach said in a pissed off tone.

"who amara james? why are you calling her?" xander asked looking at zach's phone that was never shut off when xander took it.

"are you seriously friends with her also?" ella asked sounding upset.

"yes i am friends with her also. i don't see why not she's nice and so are brinnley and evelyn so how about we give me phone back and stop talking about them" zach said still trying to get his phone when xander passed it to ashton.

"what are we five now?" zach asked rolling his eyes.

"oh look and see if shawn mendes is in his contacts i want that number" maya said to ashton who chuckled.

"ash also put my number in his phone, i want to be able to hang out with you more" ella said turning to look at zach.

"or we can just give zach his phone back" brinnley said walking up to them with a very drunk evelyn beside her. the group looked at her blankly while zach smiled at brinnley's basic rescue.

"oh that's cute you think i was asking. no i'm telling you to give zach his phone now ashton" brinnley demanded.

ashton immediately handed zach his phone and zach snatched it back deleting any numbers that were added to it.

"we were just talking to him it's no big deal brinnley, you're not the only person he can be friends with, i mean y'all just met and you're getting possessive" ella said snickering.

"i'm not possessive, i just respect people's feelings and privacy. you took his phone and added your number to it after he asked you to give it back to him. you're just upset i caught you, now shoo" brinnley told her.

"i'm pretty sure zach can fight his own battles brinnley and if he can't, what kind of man is he?" ashton said looking zach up and down.

"i don't even know what that has to do with this but okay go off i guess" zach said laughing.

"are you laughing at him? what's so funny? huh? you think you can walk up in my house and laugh at my friends like you own the place?" xander yelled.

"okay xander, you're drunk as hell, and you need to go lay down before you hurt yourself, something, or somebody around you" brinnley told him.

"no brinnley i want to see what's so funny" xander said as he pushed zach backwards.

"yeah i'm not fighting you, that's just not gonna happen" zach said looking annoyed.

"why? you scared? or you just know i'm going to win and you don't stand a chance" xander slurred and continued to push zach.

"no it's because you're drunk and i'm not fighting a drunk kid in high school" zach said rolling his eyes.

brinnley saw that xander was just going to keep going until he punched zach out cold, and that zach wasn't going to fight back, so she walked over to ashton.

"tell your friend to back off zach he literally hasn't done anything but be nice to y'all and you guys took advantage of it, and now xander is trying to fight him, no not happening" brinnley insisted.

"yeah there is nothing i can do, and nothing i really want to do so i'm just gonna watch" ashton said.

"are you fucking- fine" brinnley responded. she then got in the middle of xander and zach stopping xander from pushing zach anymore.

"yeah that's enough pushing him, go get yourself some advil, water, and anger management classes because this is ridiculous" she said to xander.

she grabbed zach's hand, walked over to evelyn who was laying on the counter unaware of what was happening and grabbed her also, and walked out.

brinnley texted amara to meet at the front so that she could take evelyn home. about five minutes later amara pulled up with her car.

"what did you leave the party?" zach asked her as he got evelyn in the car.

amara shook her head. "i was walking along the beach with this boy i met and then i got your text and my car was by the beach area so i just hopped in" brinnley and zach nodded and continued to get evelyn and evelyn's stuff into amara's car.

"so are you guys alright no one is hurt?" amara asked the pair.

"no we're good, thanks to brinnley though, i literally did nothing" zach told her.

"well you can't really do anything" brinnley started. "if someone was filming, which i guarantee you someone was, and you hit xander back, they would post that so fast and your career is over"

"and you don't want to get into a fight with xander, especially drunk xander it's just sad" amara told him making them laugh.

"well let me get evelyn home i'll see y'all later" amara said as she walked over to the passenger seat. brinnley and zach waved her goodbye and walked to zach's car.

"i'm still glad we got to hang out today" zach told brinnley.

"yeah, me too" she said.
