(Chapter 15) Mysterious Accident

I looked around as I fumble on my seat. I'm currently at the Seoul Metropolitan Department and people here are busy.

"Mira-ssi, your meeting is this way." A young officer said to me and gestured me somewhere.

We went into an investigation room.

This is making me nervous. Did Mira do anything bad in the past? Maybe murder or something.

"You're not here for something bad, Mira-ssi. We just need to ask you a few questions." The guy inside the investigation room said and gestured me to sit.

"By the way I'm the detective that talked to you yesterday, I'm Detective Yoon." He extended his hands for a greeting. I kindly accepted it.

He smiled at me before speaking. "If you feel uncomfortable answering these questions, it's okay to not respond."

He opened his laptop on the desk.

"I have been investigating your accident for 6 years already, Mira-ssi, and for that six years the farthest I've gotten is a hypothesis." He opened something on his laptop and showed it to me.

"This was the tape at the day off the accident." He showed me a car parked on the side of the street.

"The driver is inside of that car and has not come out even for a second for the past 2 hours. Then all of a sudden, the car starts up and drives at full speed and crashed to your car. Isn't that weird? It's like he was waiting for the right moment for the two of you to pass by." He stared at me determined by his words.

If you actually look at the video it does make sense. The car is just parked there for no reason, and it immediately sped up like it was prepared for something.

"You get what I mean right? And the driver of the car's family received a wad of cash after the accident that caused the death of the driver. It may just be coincidence but my gut tells me not. Mira-ssi, do you perhaps remember something or anything that could give us a hint?" He looked at me eagerly.

I just shook my head no."I still don't have a clue yet but what your saying makes sense. It is weird and too much to be a coincidence."

"I'll be looking into the case now since your finally awake. If you remember anything regarding the accident please feel free to tell me about it. Every piece of information is needed."

I nodded to his statement.

"And, please be careful of the people around you. You might be in danger if you can't differentiate the people you can trust." The detective added.

After our little interrogation, he gave me an alarm bracelet, in case I get into trouble it will ring directly into the police.

I didn't stay for long, as I felt uncomfortable with the random strangers poping in and out of the police station. So, I left the police station and went straight to the (G) I-dle dorm.

"Where did you go?" I was greeted by Yuqi at the door. I think she came from the living room.

"I went to the police station, they asked me about the accident." I said as I took of my shoes while Yuqi just followed me with her eyes.

"We're you able to remember anything?" She said as she followed me to the kitchen.

"No, nothing at all. I still wonder why I don't remember anything too." I took out some water.

Maybe I can't remember her memories cause I'm not her.

"Eonni, do you remember anything special that happened on the day that I got into the accident?" I asked Yuqi who is now sitting on the dining table.

"Mmm...." She furrowed her eyebrows.

"Ah!" She slammed her hands into the table causing me to jolt a little. "When we were practicing that day you were called to the CEO's office, I don't know why though but you seemed to be fazed after your talk."

The CEO? He must know something. I just have to remember what.

I just nodded at her and headed out of the kitchen leaving her alone there.

"Yah! I brainstormed for you and I get no thanks?" Yuqi playfully said to me.

"What do you want, a grand bow?" I made an attempt to bow at her.

"Ani!" She retorted.

"Why don't you want it, what do you want then? A kiss?" I jokingly gestured to her.

"Ew, get away from me." She runs away from me and I followed her towards the living room.

"C'mon Eonni, you wanted a thanks, right? I'll give it to you." I joked to her as I followed.

I was gesturing Yuqi a kissy face when Minnie came in the door.

Yuqi and I froze in our positions.

"O-oh, h-hey, Minnie Eonni." Yuqi said as she gets away from me and sits on the sofa.

Minnie just went directly to her room, not even bothering saying anything to me.

What did I do wrong?

I looked at Yuqi for an answer but she just stood up and went to her room as well.

What's with them?

They both didn't go out of their rooms so I just proceed to make dinner.

I heard footsteps going to the kitchen. I peeked to look who it was, hoping it would be Minnie but to my avail it was Miyeon.

"Your expression tells me I'm not the person you're hoping for. Why did something happen here?" Miyeon says as she settles beside me leaning on the counter.

"I thought it would be Minnie Eonni. It's not that I don't like you being here Eonni. I just thought she would come here after not talking to me earlier." I said while focusing on the food I'm cooking.

"Minnie? Not talk to you? What nonsense is that, she'll never do that. Why, what happened?" She faced astounded.

"I was joking around with Yuqi Eonni and when she went in she just... Didn't mind me." I sighed as I remember the scene.

I thought Miyeon would think of something to say but instead I heard a laughter from her.

"Aigoo, Kim Minnie, she's still not over that thing." She added as she kept on laughing.

While she is in her laughing spree I just stared at her with my pestered questioning look.

"Still not over what?" I said.

Miyeon wiped off the little tear she has from laughing so hard.

"It's not my place to tell you but let's just say, whatever Minnie is thinking she just can't get over some things in the past." She said in now a bit more serious manner.

"And to add more to your confused expression, let's just say Yuqi has already moved on." Miyeon said as she takes a piece of meat from my dish and dashes off to the living room.

She left me on the kitchen as I was confused with all that's happening.

Yuqi?

Moved on?

From what?

Or should I say,
