(Chapter 7) Cube

These past days that I spent with I-dle seemed like a dream. I guess the imaginations that I had really did come true....

But one thing really bothered me.

How did Mira end up having a coma?

That has been lingering in my head for days but I always try to shrug it off. Why would I destroy this perfect life?

"Hey, what are you spacing out about?" Soyeon said as she sat on the sofa beside me.

"Oh, uh, I was thinking of what to do" I faked a smile. "I'm getting bored here, I guess."

"How about you come with me to Cube?" Soyeon faced me.

"I can?" I asked eagerly. As a fan, I was always curious about what's inside of Cube.

"Sure you can, you're supposed to belong there anyway." I actually heard her mummer the last part.

Of course, after our short talk Soyeon and I headed to Cube, which was not that far from the dorm.

We went inside as we greeted some of the staff.

"Omo!, Mira-yah, It's good to see you healthy and up again." A lady hugged me.

I didn't know how to respond so I just hugged her back. Her face seems familiar though I haven't exactly seen her before.

"My manners, you must be lost in the situation. Mira-yah, I'm your former dance teacher and choreographer, Yong Na Bi." She said as she broke off the hug.

"Hello, Teacher Yong." Soyeon bowed to her. "Sorry to ruin your reunion but I would like to tour Mira around the company." She looked at the choreographer, apologetically.

"Oh, sorry girls, go ahead. Take your time to remember the place." Teacher Yong said as she pushed me towards Soyeon.

We walked through the halls of Cube and mostly all the staff here knows me. It's kinda awkward actually to not even recognize their faces but they approach you like they've known you for years.

The dance practice rooms felt very very familiar. The smell, the feel, and the vibe that it gives off, it's like I've felt it before. But as Han Seulri I have not.

After the exhausting walk throughout the entire company, we went to Minnie's studio.

"Tada! This is Minnie Eonni's studio, everybody hangs out here, so your welcome to come here and bother her as well." Soyeon said as we entered the cozy room with a piano and full of pictures of Minnie.

I just walked around amazed by the sight. This is the place they usually vlive. I used to imagine what was in this place but now I'm literally standing in it.

"Stop being amazed and sit down, I know you're tired." Soyeon grabbed my hand and made me sit on the swivel chair.

" This place is full of Minnie Eonni's pictures," I said as I still roamed my eyes around.

"Yeah, it's because Minnie Eonni only loves herself." Soyeon and I laughed at her remark.

"Oh!... There is somebody else's picture here." Soyeon snapped her fingers as she remembers something.
She then stood up and looked behind the rack that was standing on the side.

She pulled an old frame from the back and gave it to me.

"She said it was taken in Thailand," Soyeon said as she hands it to me.

It was a picture of me, I mean Mira, with Minnie in a park. I was hugging her waist and her arms were over my shoulder enveloping me in a hug. We were both smiling happily in the picture.

"That's the only picture of someone else in this room. Eonni said that that day was the happiest day of her life, but she didn't tell me why though." Soyeon said as she sat back down on the couch.

I sighed. It's sometimes depressing to not know anything, it feels like I'm missing out from the past.

I put down the picture and stared at the achievements that were placed on the rack.

"You know Eonni, I may not remember anything but I'm proud that you guys succeeded." I showed her a warm smile.

"Actually Mira, It's not just supposed to be us." She said facing me with a serious expression.

"(G) I-dle supposedly has 7 members, it actually was decided a year and a half before our actual debut. It was that early because the original team had many problems. One of the members that were supposed to debut was included in a very serious accident." Soyeon explained and held my hand.

We both knew who she was implying.

"That resulted in the debut being postponed and we ended up debuting in 2018." She said as she looked down.

"Mira-yah, you're supposed to succeed like us too." She said with teary eyes.

I smiled at her before hugging her. "Sometimes life is unpredictable Soyeon Eonni, somethings are just meant to happen." How ironic of me to say that, knowing my current situation.

We went home after our little tour at Cube. Well not really little as it took like more than 4 hours to roam around.

We came home to the dorm seeing the members watching TV and the rest was using their phones.

"Where did you guys go?" Yuqi said as she looked at us when we came in.

"I toured her around Cube, since she said she's bored." Soyeon said laying on the sofa.

Yuqi just nodded and went back to playing PUBG.

I sat beside Minnie who was busy with her phone.

"How was your day?" She asked me as she still was focused on her phone.

"It was great, we went by to your studio." I replied to her.

She hummed a response probably still busy with the person she was talking to.

When dinner came Soojin Eonni was in charge again, and since I went with Soyeon to Cube they told me to rest since they said I might be tired.

"Yah Minnie Eonni!, Can you help me with cutting these mushrooms?" Soojin said from the kitchen.

"Okayyyy!!" Minnie replied doing something hurriedly on her phone and went running towards the kitchen.

I didn't want to snoop around but I became curious as notification alarms kept buzzing from her phone.

Despite the internal war that I did, I still ended up trying to look at Minnie's phone. I saw a little Instagram logo on it.

I guess she was using Instagram.

It lit up again so now I got more curious. But this time I wasn't surprised by the Instagram messages.

It was her wallpaper.
