Chapter 2 - New Kid

NOTE - THIS IS A VERY LONG CHAPTER SO BRACE YOURSELF - 

Just as Katara was about to show Aang his last stop, the front office, a tall guy that had brown shaggy hair with a wheat in his mouth walked up to them and started to what seemed like flirt with Katara but it seemed to him like she dealt with this before...

"Hey Katara who's this noobie here?" the tall country boy figured asked

"Go away Jet we already had broken up, stop bothering me" Katara say with her arms crossed together

Aang was fine at first, he thought he was a gentleman and would move but when he grabbed Katara forcibly something in Aang just snapped-

"Hey! she told u to stop" Aang said in a firm tone, grabbing Katara hand

Katara had never seen Aang like this, not even like when they were kids.

"ok, ok air noobie, hey, you probably have those arrowed tattoos from the tattoo shop right haha " pointed jet

Aang controlled he anger like the monks had taught him so he remained calm and as jet left Katara let out a sign

"thanks for backing up for me Aang, you know...i never really seen that side of you before" said Katara

"well..your my friend" said Aang rubbing he neck, blushing to his crush.

"ah! you must be Aang, i am principal Iroh" Iroh said walking and shaking Aang's hand

"h-hi! i'm Aang" Aang said

"come in" Iroh Gestured Aang

"i will wait for you, besides we have 1hr before class" whispered Katara

Aang nodded and went into what looked like a tea shop and sat down and as Iroh gave him tea he introduced him to the timetable -

"i am very well aware you are the avatar but our school system has bending classes and since they are no airbenders because most of them you know... are gone, we don't have that class but you can spilt you periods to have a taste of each class and we can say that as an airbender you need to study the techniques of every element to be um...smooth with your airbendering" Iroh said with hands together

"um ok sure" said Aang rubbing his neck

"though you do realise you be staying here and with that small bag i don't think you'll fit your cloths in there" Iroh gestured at the car flag bag

"WHAT, NO ONE TOLD ME THAT" Aang came launching out

"Calm down you can still go home and pack" reassured Iroh

"B-But My family, my da- Gyasto" Aang said

"don't worry you can go home today and say goodbye okay?" Iroh put his hand on Aang's shoulder

"okay i guess..."Aang sadly replied while Iroh slowly escorted him out

but Katara couldn't help but notice his gloomy look

"everything okay?" reassured Katara

"well no, its not okay Iroh expects me to leave my dad i mean Gyasto, he's basically my dad.... and my only family memeber" Aang said in a very sad tone

"Don't worry it was hard for me to leave my dad" said Katara tearing up   

"i am so sorry" said Aang putting his hand on Katara shoulder

Katara blushed at Aang putting his hand on her shoulder

"Anyways how's Sokka?" questioned Aang looking around for him

"oh! his good, what me to know to our gang? they'll love to see you Aang!" pestered Katara

and before Aang could say yes Katara grabbed Aang's wrist and leaded him to a lunch table with a lot of people around it.

 "Hi everyone, i wanted to introduce you to Aang!" introduced Katara

"Aang!" Sokka said hugging him

"how have you been?" asked Sokka

"i am been good" answered Aang

"This is Toph, Suki, Zuko and Mai" pointed Sokka

"nice to meet you twinkle toes" teased Toph

"twinkle toes?" questioned Aang

"yes i am blind if you couldn't tell and i see by feeling the vibrations in the earth and your light on your feet" said Toph standing up

Aang smiled maybe this new school wasn't so bad after all.

*Bell ringing*

As Aang was dismissed from science class Aang walked home preparing for what the morning might bring and when it hit morning Gyasto hugged Aang as tight as he can and gave him the biggest gift ever, his love and with that Aang hugged him one more time, this time tightly and took the bus to school. And by the time he reached school his new friends were waiting for him

"hey buddy um...Iroh wanted me to give you this key and when i told him you were my friend he said you can be room mates with us!" Zuko said while dropping the key in Aang's hands

"wow, wait.. you spoke with Iroh?" Aang said confused

"well Zuko talks to him all the time, his his uncle" replied Sokka

"okay that makes sense" said Aang

Zuko covering his face to that he didn't really want Aang knowing that Iroh was his uncle, he might give him the wrong idea

"Great! Aang i will show you your room" Katara said grabbing he hand

"did she just-"

"yep Sokka she did" replied Suki crossing her arms together

"well you two go without me and Mai, we will catch up" as Zuko walking away with Mai

Then as Katara walked Aang down the Hallway she couldn't help but notice it was so quiet, this played out better in her head but what could she do, it's too lat-

"Soo...Katara do you have any plans tonight?"

Katara stared blankly at him
