Chapter 4 - Our Little Secret

Katara was stunned to hear this, did Aang confess to her? or was this one of her dreams?

"Aang i-"

"i know what you are going to say it only been two days since we met but i loved you since we first met when we were children but i didn't say that because we were young and i didn't know what love was so i didn't tell you but now i can't hide it anymore" explained Aang

"well i love you too but like, you said "but we just met" and the others won't be happy about that when we tell them...i didn't really tell them i meet you as a kid nor Sokka" responded Katara

"what if, what if they didn't need to know?" Aang said while grabbing both of Katara's hand

"like dating in secret, well i like the idea..." thought Katara

"Yeah and we can tell them next week!" Aang said in excited

"ok, but next week, we will have to tell them next week!" Pointed Katara 

"Great! *sign* thank you for not running away Katara" said Aang hugging Katara and realising her

they both looked at each other and started to lean in....

then as the they touched noses...

*beep beep* 

Aang's phone rang

"hello?"

"hi Aang where r u"

"oh at dinner with a friend" said Aang looking at Katara

"oh with Katara ALONE!?!" screamed Sokka

"oh we just needed to um...catch up on stuff" explained Aang

"ok i believe you for now...NOW HURRY UP AND GET HOME" Suki interrupted Sokka

they hang up and Aang looked at Katara

"i guess that will have to wait...sorry Katara" said Aang kissing Katara on the cheek
"no problem my brother always interrupts everything" Katara said rolling her eyes and crossing her arms

"shall we?" Aang winked at Katara while gesturing for her to grab his hand

"we shall" Katara said while putting her hand on Aang

Aang and Katara reached home and made sure to stop holding hands and go back to their dorms.

"nice to see you sugar queen" Toph said on the bed

"yeah hi Toph"

"? why is your blood pressure so high?" questioned Toph

Katara knew she couldn't lie so she got out of the topic by a miracle and went to bed dreaming of Aang. On the other side Zuko, Sokka were asleep and Aang sneaky went to bed for the next morning.

Morning arose and the gang had to get ready for school and till lunch Katara and Aang kept flirting with each other and staring at each other and Toph knew everything and in her mind it was

oogies, love oogies

Then when they met up at lunch Mai stormed up to the table and Zuko looked at her afraid

"uh Mai?" Zuko gulped

"you lied to me..." Mai said tearing up

"w-what are you talking about Mai?" Zuko said confused

"you jerk, you know even remember what you did, forget it i'm leaving " Mai said as she turned around trying to cover the tears 

"wait please don't leave" Zuko said trying to grab Mai's wrist but her resisting

"LET GO OF ME" Mai said while running away

Zuko seemed confused but sad and the gang watched the whole thing and then someone finally spoke -

"that rough buddy"

"shut up Sokka!" yelled Katara

"it's okay Zuko" said Katara patting Zuko's shoulder

"what was that about?" Suki asked

"i don't know" Zuko said

"he lying" Toph said

"Toph know is not the time for jokes" Katara said in a firm tone 

"it wasn-"

"you have some alone time Zuko, call me when you need me" reassured Katara

"thanks..."Zuko said in a sad tone

Then as the bell rang the gang had to go to their classes

Aang blushed as Katara secretly kissed his chick and walked to his history class. Katara had law studies with Zuko and Toph, Toph felt them as Zuko texted Katara to wait for him after class to talk. Toph had a bad feeling, knowing that Aang and Katara where secretly together.

-----------------------------2 periods later-----------------------------------------

Katara signed after getting stacks of paper for homework but remembered what Zuko texted her.

Then as the Bell rang the two went outside of class without knowing Toph was behind them kepting her distance as she wore her black hoodie over her head.

"Katara thank you for coming, i have something to tell you..." said Zuko nervously

"I know everyone goes through a breakup, it's hard...but i am here for you" Katara said turning her head and thinking of Jet 

"well i can't believe i didn't realise sooner...from day one you were always by my side and now i realise, 

i love you katara"
