Chapter 5 - Rival

"e-excuse m-me, i think i miss heard you?" Katara said 

"you heard right Katara" reassured Zuko

Zuko Said trying to lean in and kiss Katara but she backed away

"sorry but i already have a crush, and it's not you, i am so sorry Zuko, i don't think of you that way, not ever I am sorry" said Katara walking away

Toph was amazed at what she heard did she hear right, no, she did hear right but now katara was turning to the corner where Toph was so she quickly sprinted to her dorm 

(i'm such a idiot) Zuko slammed his hand on his head, of course she was going to say no but he did it anyway and as sad as Zuko was, he slowly walked to the Iroh's office instead of his dorm so he wouldn't see Katara and to get advice because he really needed it now. Then As Katara knocked on Sokka's and Aang's dorm Aang was the only one she found, she found Aang alone studying.

"where's Sokk-"

"went with Suki to get some food" replied Aang while writing down some notes

"oh" Katara said leaning in to sit on Aang's lap

"Hey I've done that!" pointed Katara

"can you help me, Math is not my strong point" Aang said with the eye's Katara could not resist. 

"ok but your helping me with history" pointed Katara

"deal!"

-------------------------------------1 week later------------------------------------------

1 week later of Katara and Zuko avoiding each other and Toph thinking how long could they keep it to them, did they forget that easily? Toph wondered that each day and every day that pasted was pain. But until that day Katara and Aang spoke up

"Hey um guys...sooo me and Katara are dating" said Aang holding Katara's hand

the table stood, all but Zuko

"congrats!" Suki exclaimed

"congrats twinkle toes" Toph said while clapping her hands, even though she knew that they were dating in secret

"well...i don't know about this but i know you Aang , and i trust you" Sokka said calmly 

"BUT YOU PULL ONE HAIR OFF AND YOUR DONE FOR" Sokka whispered in Aang's ear that made him gulp

"yay...congrats" Zuko said in a disgusted tone

(why was she dating Aang after a week? was he her crush? should i follow Iroh's advice?) so many things rushed through Zuko's mind so he needed to take this off his shoulders so he asked if Aang and him could talk alone...

"Hey mann what's up why you called me"

"listen Aang i don't think you know but i have a crush on Katara but i trust you with her but that won't stop me on trying to take her from you..."

Aang was shocked, did Zuko say that?

"um i thank you for honestly but where is this coming from?" Aang asked

"When Mai broke up with me Katara was really supportive and these people i need in my life and you can't stop me" Zuko said while walking away but also touching shoulders with Aang while doing so

Aang was confused but didn't think of it as much because Zuko was confusing his feelings, he did break up with Mai after all.

After that Suki and Sokka went on a date, Toph was studing at the library, Aang was at the gym and Zuko needed to make things right with Katara so he can earn her trust enough for her to make her fall in love again with him.

*knock knock*

"come in !" Katara yelled

"oh...Zuko" Katara looked away

"look Katara you see i was not in the correct mind state at the time...look i'm sorry for the way i acted" of course that was a lie but Zuko had so choice, he had to earn Katara's trust

"well past is past, and i am ready to for give you" Katara said

"i should probably go back to my room" said Zuko as he blanked out of his daydream of Katara and went back to his dorm. 

Now what's next Zuko asked himself?
