Silken Wings
One moment in warm May,
When I first saw you,
Changed my life in many a way,
For love found me that day.
With a flutter of silken wings,
Unbekownst to you;
Love played on my heart stings,
While wild hope springs.
But unrequited and untold,
For no clue had you;
Love's flame slowly turned cold,
And now is just a memory old.
