Dream big
I overcame every obstacle - with ease,
like Colin Jackson in his heyday,
flying over hurdles,
as if they weren't even there.
Gravity?
Hah!
It never bothered Colin,
and it didn't apply to me.
No task too great. No dream too big;
That's what my ego told me...
Saving starving children.
Ending poverty.
Saving the rainforest.
Ending indifference.
Saving everybody's day....
Yeah, doable!
Then reality interrupts,
overwhelmingly so;
-Love-
New dreams.
Replace the old.
Saving myself from isolation.
Ending boredom.
Saving you from late night studies.
Ending monotony.
Saving up for a gold ring.
Or even a diamond one...
Right!
