The silent death of youth
And that night,
when the lights went down, I knew
I was never gonna be found
I was far from bulletproof
The monsters laughed,
drinking tears as I dropped them by,
They would never be shot down
They were far from holy ground
And the life outside went by,
And my dreams with time
felt like tied up butterflies
that were screaming every time I closed my eyes
"Butterflies don't cry,
they just die", would say some reader drunk on youth
"Don't you hear as life goes by?
Don't you hear her moaning while killing you?
The only things that gets forgotten in silence
are those we'll survive through".
