OLD BUT TRUE
He always knew she was cupid's victim captured just for him.
It felt like yesterday they shared a mocha on that very bench,
And his heart beats strong still.
Holding her close reminded him of the day they watched their first football game together on the sofa,
Although she considered it lame,
She stayed in his arms all the Same.
As they both stared at the long stretch of green grass,
It was clear that as time flew,
They were old but still true.
