Dracos pov

I didn't sleep a wink last night. There's no way I'm leaving Andromeda in the care of those incompetent imbeciles. I'm skipping class today to keep an eye on Andromeda. I slowly got out of bed careful not to wake Andromeda to go put on some clothes for the day. I start opening drawers looking for a black t-shirt and some jeans. I finally found my shirt and a pair of jeans that I actually liked and walked into the bathroom.

I finish putting on my clothes and brushing my teeth. I walk out and hear a small cry. I snap my head up and see Andromeda crying. I run over to the bed and pull her into my arms. "Oh angel what's wrong" I say holding her closely. "Th...th...the mm...man t...tt...took me" she stutters out. "Shhhhh sweetie. He's never going to take you. I will keep you safe. Nobody's ever going to take you" I say. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel better" I say. "She sniffles a bit "Waffles" she says. I chuckle a bit "Of course my sweet girl. Let's head down there right now." I quickly grab her bear and we're out the door.

We enter the great hall and luckily hardly anyone is in here. It was still pretty early so nobody was down here yet. I sit Andromeda on my lap as I scoop some fruit in a bowl for her. I hand her the berries as I start stacking waffles onto our plate. "Hey there, how is she" Crabbe says walking up with his son Crabbe Jr. "She's still shaken but only woke up three times crying" I say. "Hi Drommy" Crabbe Jr says. Andromeda just smiles and continues to eat her fruit. That was so unlike her. Andromeda's usually so talkative and excited to see her friends. "Say hi Andromeda" I say. She looks up at me and back to him "Hi Trevor" she says. "Wait I thought his name was Crabbe Jr." "No I told you I was naming him Trevor Vincent Crabbe Jr. You just don't listen" he says. Oh thank Merlin he's not as stupid as I thought and I've been thinking he named his kid Crabbe Crabbe Jr. Well that was true I've learned to tune everyone out.

"Why's she still in her pjs" Crabbe says. "I'm skipping class today. There is no way I'm trusting them to watch her" I say. "Ya. I'll update you on the homework and everything. If you need anything just ask." Believe it or not Crabbe was definitely the nicest in the group. He was also the most reliable out of all of us. We could count on him for everything. Trevor was also a pretty sweet kid. Throughout breakfast he kept trying to make Andromeda smile and actually succeeded a time or two.

Andromeda and I left before the dining hall got too full. She was starting to get overwhelmed and I had to give her a puff of her inhaler. As we were walking back I heard Andromeda let out a little squeal. "What is it sweetie" I say turning around. I then see Luna skipping to the great hall. She sees Andromeda and starts skipping over to us. "Luna" Andromeda says beaming. "Hi Andromeda. Hello Draco. I heard about what happened yesterday. How are you" she says. "I'm ok and she's still a shaken up. I think I might head home early for Christmas break though" I say. "That sounds nice. Father and I just have small Christmas's." I nod politely "I had waffles" Andromeda announces. "Waffles. I love waffles. I think I'm gonna have some of those for breakfast" Luna says.

"I think I have to head off now but I will see your adorable little face later" Luna says skipping off. "I like her" Andromeda says. I smile at her and continue walking down to the dungeons. We get back to the room and Andromeda continues to cling to me almost scared to let go. I quickly grab my witches glass and start calling mother.

"Draco what's wrong. Hi baby girl." mother says worried. Andromeda sunk her face into bear more so stout couldn't see her. "Nothings wrong mother but I was thinking of coming home early for Christmas break" I say. "I suppose that would be ok" she says. "Your father is gone this week so it would be a perfect time to come home" she says smiling. "How's Andromeda" she says. "She's still shaken up and scared she's barely said five words today. She also won't leave my side which I'm not too mad about" I say. "Well come home and I'm sure she'll feel safer here" mother says. "Ya I'll start packing and we'll be on the train at 8. Bye" I say. "Bye honey."

I start gathering Andromeda's and I's clothes into a suitcase. Andromeda still refusing to let go of me. I put Andromeda into some real clothes and quickly make my bed and we're out the door.

1 hour later

We got off the train and mother had sent a carriage for us. The house elf puts our suitcases into the carriage and we're off. Andromeda had slept the whole way on the train and during the carriage ride to the manor. As we arrive I feel a sense of relief.

"Hello my sweet boy" mother says running up to us "Welcome home." "Thank you mother" I say. Her face then morphs to happy to worried as she sees Andromeda. "She isn't talking or smiling as much as she usually is. She hasn't stopped clinging on to me since she woke up. I had to put her down to change her clothes and she had a whole meltdown. I'm scared why do people want to take her so bad and what do they want with her." "I don't know honey" she says as we enter the manor. Mother pointing the house elves to put all the suitcases in my room.

I go and sit on the couch in the living room completely exhausted. I guess staying up all night can be draining. I look down at Andromeda and see she's still sleeping peacefully. I can feel my eyes getting heavier and heavier. The last thing I remember is a blanket of warmth coming over me before I slip into the darkness.
