Opposites Attract

Chapter nine: Charlotte

We get off the train one by one and stand in groups with our houses. I look over at Draco but he's talking with his friends. It starts to snow lightly and the air whips my hair around so I adjusted my scarf tighter.  Hermione takes my arm and interlocks it with hers.
Professor McGonagall-"Alright. You will go with your house teachers. Gryffindor and Slytherin will be placed together. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw as well. Please choose one partner to always stay close to while you're here so no one goes missing." Hearing those words makes my heart skip a beat. "Goes missing." What if one of us does. Hermione talks to me, snapping me out of it.
Hermione-"Looks like we are going into the Zoo! This could be fun?" She said looking at me confused. "Are you okay?"
Y/N-"Yeah I'm okay"
Harry-"Me and Ron are going to look around. We will meet you for lunch?"
Y/N-"Okay see you then" they left and Hermione and I kept up with the group. The tour guide spoke but I wasn't paying attention. All I could think about was that dream I had. Why would I have a dream like that? I can stop thinking of Dracos lips on mine, how it felt so real ugh I don't understand. I hear laughing and Draco is holding a boy from Gryffindors scarf up in the air teasing him.
Hermione-"What an un feeling jerk." She said rolling her eyes. "Doesn't he have anything nice to say or do. He's such a horrible person." I stayed quiet. Usually I would have agreed. Yes what he was doing was rude obviously. But there was a part of me that felt like defending him. She didn't see the side to him that I've seen. The part where...he smiles out of genuine happiness...not for mockery. When his face lights up after figuring out an answer to a problem and it's correct. When he gets all serious and he seems protective. I guess she will never get to see that side of him, but i think he could change somehow.
Hermione-"Y/N look!" She shouts and points into a glass window at some pretty rings. One specific ring catches my eye. It has a silver band and a red diamond in the middle with two smaller bronzeish/yellowish diamonds on the side. Our house colors.
Y/N-"That ones my favorite." I said pointing at it.
Hermione-"Are you going to get it?" I look at the price and frown.
Y/N-"I guess not. It costs too much" Hermione walks further up but I stay and continue to look at the ring. I turn to follow her but I bump into Draco.
Y/N-"Oh..sorry" I say walking passed him.
Dracos POV.
I watch her as she peers through the window of a jewelry shop. Her hair whips around in the wind and her scarf along with it. I over hear her conversation and she spots a specific ring. It seems she doesn't have the money. She bumps into me and apologizes but I don't say anything. No one is looking so I took my wand out.
"Wingardium Leviosa" I say lifting up the ring. Someone opens the door and I bring the ring to myself shoving it in my pocket as the group moves up, joining them so it doesn't look suspicious. If I was caught using magic in front of the muggles I could be expelled, But what are risks for?

We look at all the different animals and talk amongst ourselves. Shortly after, it's lunch time. We meet with Harry and Ron to eat our food under the umbrellas at the table. We talk about the animals and cool gift shops when we hear a yell.
Random Slytherin boy-"Where's Charlotte!!???" He yelled (I made her up for  the story)
Professor Snape walks over and says "what's the problem?" Everyone is looking at him.
Random boy-"She was right here...just a minute ago and now she's gone.."
The professors look at each other concerned.
Professor McGonagall-"Okay everyone back on the train..quickly. We can't loose anymore students." Everyone is rushing in a non orderly fashion pushing and shoving trying to get out of here. "Oow" someone stepped on my foot. I turn around looking for Draco and I see him being shoved around. He tried to make his way to me when I get knocked over. I look up and Hermione, Ron and Harry are no where in my sight.
Draco-"Here" he said reaching his hand out. I take it and he pulls me up. "Are you okay?"
Y/N-"I think so. Thank you." I said fixing my hair when I notice my bracelet is gone.
Draco-"No problem."
Y/N-"Wait!! My— my bracelet it's missing!" I started to panic "I have to find it!" I tried looking around at the ground, everyone's feet was blocking my vision.
Draco-"Don't worry we will find it." I started to freak out just thinking about the thief have taking it.
Y/N-"What if the thief took it. I never really noticed it all day! How long has it been missing. Oh my god." Draco bent down as more and more kids got into the train.
Draco-"Here it is. Must have fallen when you did." I took a breath of relief.
Y/N-"Thank you." I said as my heart slowed down.
Draco-"Hand me your wrist." He said as he grabbed my hand. He placed my charm bracelet back on tugging at it a little to make sure it was secured.
Draco-"It's not going anywhere now." He said smiling at me. We started to walk into the train.
Y/N-"Thank you Draco. I don't know what I'd have done without you"
Draco-"You'd probably die" he said sarcastically and I laugh.
Professor McGonagall-"Okay everyone in their seats so we can count you. Someone is out looking for the missing student now. Try to stay calm, as soon as we find her we will head back to school." I waved at Draco and took my seat as he walked back to his spot.
Harry-"Are you alright? We lost you back there?"
Hermione-"I turned around and you were gone in a second"
Y/N-"I know I could barely move..and I'm  fine are you guys alright.?"
Ron-"Yeah" the rest of them nodded yes. We waited for about 30 minutes and finally the missing girl, Charlotte was found.
Professor McGonagall-"Everyone we found Charlotte Clermont  and she has an explanation so please listen up" everyone was silent as the dead waiting for her to answer. She had short black hair that fell to her shoulders and green piercing eyes.
Charlotte-"Hi everyone I'm from Slytherin and I'm so sorry to worry you all. I left during lunch to use the bathroom and I got locked in. Finally someone opened the door but no, I was not taken"
Everyone was relieved.
Professor McGonagall-"Thank you Miss Clermont you can head back to your house now." She walked confidently to Slytherin. As she passed our seat I waved at her but she didn't wave back she just kept walking.
Hermione-"That was weird. She didn't even wave back"
Ron-"Maybe she's just embarrassed for worrying everyone"
Y/N-"Yeah maybe." I wasn't so sure Ron was right. She looked very okay with the fact that she caused a scare. She's definitely suspicious.
Harry-"Let's just take our minds off of it. I've been worried all day"
Hermione-"Yeah me too." We continued to talk as the train took off. Shortly after we all had fallen asleep.
Dracos POV.
Once Charlotte was found she sat down in her spot a few seats up from mine. I'd obviously seen her before, that being she's in Slytherin. But she had always been pretty quiet. She didn't have many friends, only people she talked to every now and then. Her Mum...Ms.Clermont is known to work in the owlery...incase there were problems or just to clean up. She looked back at me and gave me a smile. It made me uncomfortable. I couldn't stop thinking about Y/N. I could still see Charlotte so I scooted in near the window and closed my eyes.
