I make sure to get to class extra early so I don't have to face Draco on the way in. Hermione, Harry and Ron enter the room and Hermione takes a seat next to me.
Hermione-"That was..." she didn't even know what to say.
Y/N-"Yeah, I know" I looked down.
Draco walks in with his friends behind him, and they laugh while pointing at me. I just ignore ignore them.
Professor Snape-"Good evening class. Today will be a little different. We are going to do a project that requires in and out of class work time. You will be partnered up but, with a different person from another house."
I frowned while looking at Hermione to see the same expression. "I will go around the room with a hat full of your names and who you get is who you will work with. No changes will be made."
Y/N-"This is ridiculous I don't want to do it."
Hermione-"Me neither"
Professor Snape-"Miss Y/L/N, Miss Granger.....do we have something to share with the class?"
Both in sync-"No sir"
Professor Snape-"Alright. So I will go over the project and then go around with the hat. Take notes."
After Snape is done with the project directions he passes around the hat. I didn't even pay attention to who got who because was so nervous. Finally the hat came to me.
Professor Snape-"Miss Y/L/N. Please choose a card."
I hesitate and look around the room. All eyes on me, I slowly pull the piece of paper out of the hat.
Y/N-"Draco Malfoy." I said looking at Hermione Harry and Ron. and then at Draco. He gives me a "you're gonna regret picking my name" look as if I have control. I spent the rest of the class choosing my potion waiting to go to my room. Finally before end of the class i hear a whisper.
Draco-"Pssstt. Clumsy?"
I ignore him. A minute later I feel something hit the back of my head. Draco threw a piece of paper at me and I picked it up.
What it says: "where should we meet to do this." I reply "my room 4pm" and throw it back.
(This is for those of you who want to know the assignment. one partner chooses a potion and the other as well. They write a summary of how it works and what it does and they come together to compare notes. They have to write several hypotheses of what would happen if they mixed. They choose the best explanation and go more into depth. if it's safe enough [the professor will know] they can demonstrate it in class and get extra house points if the hypothesis is correct.)
