Chapter thirteen: "It"

Back you your POV.
It was the next day and Harry and Ron have ignored me all day. I was meeting Draco after school so that made me happy. Hermione and I sat in the hall to eat our lunch to give Ron and Harry space.
Hermione-"So what are we doing tonight?"
Y/N-"I'm..studying with Draco remember."
Hermione-"Oh yeah. Sorry I keep forgetting"
Y/N-"That's alright I'm sorry."
Hermione-"It's okay don't apologize"
Pansy-"Ohh if it isn't little clumsy feet. Have you seen your hair..You look like you just woke up. Or did you forget to look in the mirror.?"
Charlotte-"Pansy take it easy on her. You know she can't see herself in the mirror."
Pansy-"Ohh yeah. You saw Draco Malfoy. Cute how you think he'd actually want to be with you. I hope you don't mind sharing." I furrowed my brows. Oh he didn't tell you? He and I did it a of couple times. Between us girls...he's really good. Well you know that. Unless...you're a virgin."
Hermione-"Go away!"
Charlotte-"Oou feisty" they laughed and walked away. I rolled my eyes and looked down at my sandwich.
Hermione-"Those girls are just awful, are you okay?" She said putting her hand on my arm.
Y/N-" I will be. Thanks"
Hermione-"Just try to ignore them, they just want to get under your skin."
Y/N-"Yeah? Well it's working." The rest of the day went on and I waited for Draco in my room where he said he'd pick me up.
Draco-"Hey are you ready to study?"
He knocked on my door. I couldn't stop thinking about him and Pansy. Or Charlotte.
Y/N-"Uhh, yeah hang on." I grabbed my books and walked out passing him as he followed.
Draco-"You alright there love?"
Y/N-"Mhm fine."
Dracos POV.
There was something wrong I could tell. She's acting so strange and she's barely said anything to me. And now that I think about it she hasn't looked at me either.
Back to your POV.
Draco-"Come on what's up?" He said stepping in front of me.
Y/N-"Nothing."
Draco-"You aren't even looking at me"
I looked up at him faking a smile.
Y/N-"Draco I'm fine okay."
Draco-"If you say so." We get into the library and there's only a few people in there. "Where did we leave off again?"
Y/N-"The last hypothesis and analysis"
Draco-"Oh yeah....I forgot my book can I share?"
Y/N-"Sure". We opened the book and start to skim the pages. I can feel his eyes on me. He didn't even bring up the fact that he had feelings for Pansy. Or the fact that we kissed and it was amazing. like it meant nothing to him. I kept reading when he put his hand over the page stopping me.
Y/N-" I uhhh, I can't read with your hand In the way Draco." I looked up at him.
Draco-"Please tell me what's bothering you." He put his hand on mine.
Y/N-"It shouldn't even be a big deal it's stupid."
Draco-"Tell me it's alright" I sighed.
Y/N-"Okay..." I was nervous and embarrassed for caring so much. "Earlier when me and Hermione were eating, Pansy Parkinson and Charlotte were talking to us and Pansy said something that shocked me..."
Draco-"Okay?"
Y/N-"About you."
Draco-"Oh...?"
Y/N-"She said that you and her have done it a couple of times..."
Draco-"Is that your way of asking me if she was telling the truth?" I nodded. "Uhm. Well yeah. It's true" my stomach hurt.
Y/N-"Oh" I said looking down
Draco-"She doesn't mean anything to me." He grabbed my chin and held it in his hand. "It wasn't anything more than that I swear." He caressed my cheek and smiled at me.
Y/N-"Okay." I gave him a small smile and turned back to the book. He played with my hair and pushed it behind my ear.
Draco-"Should we meet again tomorrow to finish? It's getting late and I have plans"
Y/N-"Ohh sure." I wanna know what his plans are. What if it involves Charlotte and Pansy. Ugh I hate that I'm so jealous over this. I want to believe that he doesn't have feelings for her but I can't shake the feeling. I went back to my room and all my friends were already asleep. Harry and Ron are still not talking to me. I wish they would get over it already.
I skipped breakfast and lunch that day. I went to the library and didn't talk to anyone all day. I wasn't feeling well. I went to potions early and sat in my chair waiting. Presentations start today but I don't think we will go today. Some people already signed up to be first. My head was pounding and I barely got any sleep. People walked in and when I saw Harry enter I turned around so fast.
Hermione-"Are you feeling any better?"
Y/N-"Not really" I said putting my head down on the table.
Hermione-"Are you getting sick? Maybe you should go to the nurse.."
Y/N-"I'll be fine I just didn't get enough sleep"
Hermione-"Alright" I still had my head down and I felt a tap on my back from Professor Snape. Ugh this is so obnoxious. I just wanna go back to my bed. I looked over at Draco and looked away so quick I'm so annoyed. I didn't really pay attention to class I just looked out of the window. Snape had to go somewhere so we all just talked. Hermione was talking to the boys and I looked over to Draco and saw Pansy playing with his hair.
Y/N-"I'm going to the toilet" I said and Hermione nodded. Draco was goofing off with Pansy and Charlotte and he looked at me so I rolled my eyes at him. As I came out of the bathroom he was standing there with the class door opened.
Draco-"Hey how are you?"
Y/N-"Peachy."
Draco-"Okay what's your problem?"
Y/N-"I don't have one I'm great." I rolled my eyes.
Draco-"No you aren't talk to me"
Y/N-"Why. You have plenty of other people to keep you company."
Draco-"Okay...what's with the attitude. Am I not allowed to have friends.?"
Y/N-"No Draco you can talk to whoever you want to."
Draco-"Are you still upset about Pansy..?"
Y/N-"Does it matter?"
Draco-"It does to me"
Y/N-"Just forget it okay."
Draco-"Seriously you're going to be like this?" I shrugged. "You know what fine. This is ridiculous" he walked into the classroom and I saw Snape coming up to the class.
Y/N-"Professor Snape may I please go to the nurse I don't feel well"
Snape-"Alright miss Y/L/N just don't forget to go over your notes."
Y/N-"I will thank you sir." I went to the nurse and fell asleep I was so exhausted.
Hermione-"Y/N!! Wake up" I woke up and Hermione was shaking me.
Y/N-"What. What's going on?"
Hermione-"You missed dinner and Draco is supposed to meet you in the library in 20 minutes"
Y/N-"Oh yeah." I said rubbing my eyes.
Hermione-"Are you feeling okay? I brought you something to eat. You haven't eaten all day you must be starving."
Y/N-"I feel a little better and thanks I'm hungry." I start eating. "I can see the boys care about my well being." I said rolling my eyes. They didn't even bother to come.
Hermione-"They do Y/N they were just at practice. They said they hope you feel better"
Y/N-"Hmm" I said finishing my food. "Okay I'm gonna go down to the library"
Hermione-"Okay we will talk later"
Y/N-"Bye" she waved and said goodbye. I sat down in the library and got all of our stuff out to practice our presentation.

Dracos POV.
I seriously don't understand why Y/N is so bloody upset about this. I told her that it meant nothing and I was being honest with her. Pansy was nothing but an old fling to me. I knew that Pansy had feelings for me but they aren't mutual and we haven't even really spoke alone for months.  Maybe she will be more relaxed when I meet with her because this is mad. I just want her to trust me and understand that I care for her. I walk downstairs and Charlotte is in the common room.
Charlotte-"Hey"
Draco-"Oh hey what's up"
I said as I looked in the common room mirror fixing my hair.
Charlotte-"Nothing just...trying to find something to do tonight" she said looking at me like I know what she mean.
Draco-"Good luck" I said starting to walk away from the mirror.
Charlotte -"Wait" she said as she stepped in front of me. "What are your plans?" She asks
Draco-"I'm supposed to study with Y/N..why?"
Charlotte -"Ohhh. Study." She giggles "people still call it that?"
Draco-"What are you talking about?" I said looking down at her while she has a suspicious smirk across her face.
Charlotte -"Look if you want good company I'm game"
Draco-"Huh" I said. I know exactly what she meant. "I'm going to study with Y/N." I said sternly.
Charlotte-"I was hoping you'd consider..maybe doing something with me?"
Draco-"Sorry but I promised her" I said looking in the mirror at myself.
Charlotte-"Well. usually I get what I want." She said with her smile slowly fading into a more serious look.
Draco-"So do I."
Charlotte-"Looks like one of us will then." She said while rubbing my arm
Draco-"Please leave me alone.  you're making me uncomfortable" she laughs at me. "I don't understand what's so funny. Now move out of my way." I shove her with my shoulder while walking passed her.
Charlottes POV. I need to say something that's convincing. Something to get him to stay. I told mum this would word. Plus he is pretty attractive so I'm not complaining.
Back to Dracos pov.
Charlotte-"Okay okay wait." I stop and turn "Look I guess I'm just not good at small talk. I'm not very popular at Hogwarts and I don't have very many friends. No one really wants to talk to me and I guess I was just looking to talk to someone. But...I understood that you're busy." Her voice slowly breaks. I feel kind of guilty. In year one I was good at making friends...so I don't really know how it feels but I'd hate it if that were me.
Draco-"You really just...wanna hang out? No funny business?"
Charlotte-"None. I swear." She said holding her hand up in the air like she was taking an oath.
Draco-"I guess I can just ask blaise to tell Y/N that I'm not feeling well"
Charlotte-"Great"
Authors POV- She said with a innocence smile.
Draco-"I'll be right back" Draco said while he went to go tell Blaise to talk to Y/N and ask his friend to lie for him. Charlotte looked into the boys dorm to make sure her was gone. She took a piece of paper from the desk and wrote a note and she read aloud while writing it.
Charlotte-" Dear Y/N, I don't think we should hang out anymore. I'm sorry but we just don't make sense...Malfoy. X" she laughs. "Here you go...Send this to Y/N." She hands the letter to Dracos owl and it flies away.
Dracos enters the room. Back to his POV.
