Chapter seventeen: The messed up chair

Thursday...your POV.

Ugh my head. Where the hell am I? I woke up..vision blurry and my head was pounding. Once I contained my sight I noticed where I was. I looked to the table next to where I way laying and see cards and gifts. What happened?
Nurse-"Oh you're awake!! How are you feeling.."
Y/N-"Uhm.." I looked around and rubbed my eyes. "What happened?"
Nurse-"You fell off of a broom stick" since I woke up my head was foggy however I wasn't thinking about what had actually happened until she said that. It's all that bitc*es fault.
Y/N-"Wa..uhm, I need to see my friends" I tried to get out of the bed but she stopped me.
Nurse-"Sweetie you can't leave yet. We have to make sure you are all better until you leave...here eat something" I sighed and sat back.
Y/N-"How long was I out for?"
Nurse-"About five days"
Y/N-"Oh...ow I look at my ankle and it's injured as well as my arm."
Nurse-"You fractured them. Here you are drink this." She handed me a cup of skele-gro and I started gagging right away.
Y/N-"Yuck that's ghastly!"
Nurse-"Sorry. Here eat your food it will help"
I go to pick up my fork when I notice the ring on my finger...I looked at it and around the room. I checked my cards to see if any where from him but there wasn't one. I wonder if he put it on me or if it was someone else I felt weird but I didn't take it off. It gave me comfort. I wonder what's happened since I was gone..I ate my food and it was about the end of classes. I heard my friends talking from down the hall and I took my ring off and hid it under my pillow. I'm awake and I don't need them to get mad already.
Y/N-"Hiya" I said waving and they all looked surprised with smiles.
Hermione-"Oh my goodness you're awake!!"
Ron-"Finally we've missed you so much! It's been ages."
Hermione-"It's been nearly a week Ronald. But he's right we've missed you" he stuck his tongue out at her.
Harry-"How are you feeling?"
Y/N-"I'm okay. My head hurts to and it looks like my arm and ankle were fractured but...it's almost better thanks to the skele-gro. Which is totally nasty by the way..I looked at Harry and he was shaking his head.
Hermione-"The boys have quidditch but they will visit you after right guys?"
Harry-"Yeah"
Ron-"Of course" I smile and they hug me and left
Y/N-"Have I missed a lot.?"
Hermione-"Not too much. A couple more things have been stolen though."
Y/N-"Anything else?"
Hermione-"Uhm well maybe but i don't know if you want to talk about it...uhm about him."
Y/N-"Just tell me please"
Hermione-"He's been really quiet..hasn't said anything to us when we see him or...to anyone really." I stopped eating.
Y/N-"Oh...can I show you something?"
Hermione-"Sure" I reached from under my pillow and showed her the ring when she furrowed her brows confused.
Hermione-"Is that?" She pointed at it. I shook my head.
Y/N-"Yeah. I was wondering if maybe you or the guys gave it to me?"
Hermione-"No.." I put it back under the pillow "Are you alright?"
Y/N-"Just super tired."
Hermione-"I will let you sleep. Feel better alright?" I shook my head. "See you later." After quidditch my friends woke me up.
Ron-"Wake up sleepyhead!!!"
Hermione-"Ronald be quiet shes in pain"
Ron-"Bloody hell Hermione relax"
Harry-"Hey Y/N" I sat up
Y/N-"Hi. How was the game?"
Ron-"Slytherin won" he frowned and I mirrored his facial expression.
Y/N-"I'm sorry guys."
Harry-"That's alright"
Ron-"Yeah it was a close game"
Hermione-"You guys did great"
Y/N-"Yeah you always do"
Hermione-"It's almost curfew we should be getting to bed. We just wanted to check on you."
Y/N-"Thanks guys. I'm good, really. I should be better in no time...two days tops." They hugged me and said goodnight.
Authors POV.
Hermione Ron and Harry were in the hall when Hermione saw something from down the corner.
Hermione-"Uhm...I'll be right there you guys go a head"
Ron-"Okay"
Hermione-"She's awake."
Draco-"I heard."
Hermione-"You know she's asked about you, and the ring."
Draco-"Is she okay?"
Hermione-"She's better than she was, obviously." She rolled her eyes.
Draco-"Look I've already said it was my fault what more do you want Granger?"
Hermione-"For you to not break my best friends heart." Hermione walked away and Draco looked in at Y/N laying down. He was too anxious and embarrassed to go in so he looked at her for a moment longer and went to sleep.
Back to your POV.
Let's just hope this nasty drink works. I drank more and went to sleep.
Dracos POV.
I couldn't sleep. I was way too stressed out. I wanted to talk to Y/N so bad but I was too flustered and I didn't even know what I'd say. I'd just end up sounding like an idiot. I sat down on the couch in the common room.
Charlotte-"..Hi"
Draco-"What the bloody hell do you want."
Charlotte-"To apologize.."
Draco-"Oh please, just stop." I stood up and raised my voice at her, she was stunned. "You need to leave. Me. Alone. You know that Y/N falling was all your fault and you aren't sorry so stop lying to me because I can see right through you. And don't even try to manipulate me I know manipulate when I see it. So just stop bothering her and me and face it. I will never..ever be with you. Understand?"
Charlotte-"I..." she didn't know what to say.
Draco-"Good." I walked into my room and plopped on my bed to go to sleep.

Back you your POV.
I woke up and felt much better. I must have loads of school work to catch up on.
Nurse-"Good morning darling."
Y/N-"Morning" I sat up and started to eat my breakfast that she gave me.
Nurse-"How are you feeling love?"
Y/N-"Much better thanks"
Nurse-"That's great! If you're feeling up to it you may leave after lunch. Just make sure you visit me if you feel unwell again alright?"
Y/N-"Yes thank you"
I was eating when I saw someone walking in.
Draco-"...Hey"
Y/N-"Hi." I continued to eat my food.
Draco-"I uhm I heard that you are feeling better?" He sat down in a chair next to my bed.
Y/N-"Yeah they said that I can leave during lunch"
Draco-"Good that's good."
Y/N-"Yeah." We looked at each other and didn't say anything when I heard a cracking sound from the chair he was sitting in.
Draco-"Oh bloody hell. This damn chair." He got on his knees and put one of the pegs back in correctly. I looked at him and smiled while furrowing my brows. "This chair always does this? It's so annoying" he chuckles.
Y/N-"Always?" What I said caught him off guard.
Draco-"Wa..uh yeah I mean, when I've sat in here before...a couple of times..." he looked down and I smiled. I wonder if he's been visiting me. I'm still mad at him for lying to me though.
Y/N-"Oh..." I looked at the clock and he did too.
Draco-"I'm going to be late for class but I'll see you later"
Y/N-"Okay" he walked away but turned at the door way.
Draco-"I'm glad really you're okay Y/N" he said as he left. I pulled the ring out from under my pillow and put it on.
