Chapter eighteen: Studying

Hermione, Ron and Harry ate lunch with me and walked me back to my room.
Hermione-"Do you need anything?"
Y/N-"One thing. A long hot shower" they laughed and left the room. I felt so gross and my scalp was so itchy from not washing it. I walked over to my mirror and looked at myself. "Ew" I looked down and saw my scarf lying there next to my book. "Huh" wonder how my book got there? "Hey Hermione?"
Hermione-"yeah?"
Y/N-"Did you come into my room at all?"
Hermione-"No why?"
Y/N-"Uhm never mind thanks." She walked into my room.
Hermione-"What's up Y/N? Really"
Y/N-"I was just wondering if you brought my scarf back but it must have been the boys"
Hermione-"Actually I think I know who it was.."
Y/N-"Oh, who?" She took a breath out.
Hermione-"Malfoy."
Y/N-"Oh.." he must have read the quote too. I hid my smile at the thought of him knowing I did it about him.
Hermione-"That's not all...the guys don't know this but he's been visiting you every night. He thinks it's all his fault."
Y/N-"It's not his fault. But I am still upset about him lying and saying those things to me. It really hurt me."
Hermione-"I know."
Y/N-"I'm not so sure I can't trust him Hermione I'm so confused."
Hermione-"Well, if you're so confused then...why are you wearing that" she pointed to my ring. I didn't even have a real explanation except for:Y/N-"I guess I just felt happy knowing that he gave it back to me. Like maybe there could be hope. I just don't know."
Hermione-"I understand. The Yule ball is coming up soon so, don't take to long to think about it incase you miss your chance." She hugged me and I nodded. I started the shower and turned on some music. The hot water hit my skin and I watched all of my worry's go down the drain. I just listened to my music and relaxed. After that Harry, Hermione, Ron and I walked into potions. As I was walking to my seat Draco got up and bumped into me.
Both at the same time-"Sorry" I smiled and took my seat.
Pansy-"Watch where you're going shrimpy" I ignored her.
Harry-"Leave her alone."
Pansy-"Or what you filthy little troglodyte." She and her friends laughed but I didn't see Charlotte.
Hermione-"Just ignore them guys."
Snape-"Alright.... Today we will be talking about the dangers of potions. Miss Y/L/N see me after class please."
Y/N-"Yes sir." Snape went over potions and then we had to write a paragraph summary on it. The entire class room was silent as Snape was finishing some last minute information. I was copying the notes as he spoke and he stopped and cleared his throat.
Snape-"This is very important information....isn't that right Mr.Malfoy...?"
Draco-"Huh...oh yes sir."
Authors POV.
Draco wasn't paying attention to Snape and he saw so he caught him off guard.

Snape-"More important than...would you say.... staring at miss Y/L/N's ear?" My eyes shot up and I scratched my neck to hide my embarrassment. Everyone chuckled.
Draco-"Uhm no sir"
Snape-"Good then stop staring and..finish this paragraph and we are done for the day."
Oh my goodness. I was embarrassed. Draco was staring at me and Snape just called me out like that.
Snape-"You will have a potions quiz tomorrow so....study the notes...." Class ended and I stayed in the room watching everyone leave.
Snape-"Since you've missed work I've made you a binder of things to make up. You may get the class notes from a friend just make sure to hand it in by next week" great now I have stuff to make up and a quiz to study for. I hope Charlotte got into trouble for this.
Y/N-"Thank you Professor I will" I smiled and took the binder. Man this is going to be fun. I'll just get the notes for Hermione. I got back to my dorm and saw my friends in the common room.
Y/N-"Hey guys...Hermione can I copy your notes for potions?"
Hermione-"Yeah" she grabbed them and handed them to me. When i took them I saw Ron notice my ring and he looked at it weird and just didn't say anything. "Would you like me to help you study"
Y/N-"Not right now I'll ask you when and if I do thank you though" I walked to my room and heard Ron say "I'll be right back" I heard him walking behind me and I sat my stuff on my bed and turned around to see him.
Y/N-"What?"
Ron-"You know what." We both looked at the ring.
Y/N-"Ron I can't do this right now alright. I need to study.." he shook his head.
Ron-"You have to tell Harry"
Y/N-"Why is it such a big deal..!"
Ron-"He told me about your moment a while ago..."
Y/N-"What moment..?" Shit.
Ron-"You know what I'm talking about Y/N"
I turned around and started ruffling my papers and I heard him leave. I sat on my bed. Ugh. I changed out of my uniform and put gray sweatpants on with a maroon hoodie. I plopped down on my bed and copied some notes when Harry knocked.
Harry-"Dinner time Y/N" I smiled and got up.
Y/N-"Thanks"
Harry-"Hey uhm..are you doing alright?"
Y/N-"I'm managing" I gave him a half smile.
Harry-"Just know I'm here"
Y/N-"I do thank you" we all walked to dinner and I saw Draco sitting with his friends.
Hermione-"We should probably figure this thief thing out before Christmas guys. What if it gets worse."
Y/N-"I agree. I mean lots of people leave what if Clarisse uses that as a way to actually make people disappear."
Harry-"Ron and I will do some digging, y/n we know you have to study so will you come with us Hermione?"
Hermione-"Yes of course" we got back to our dorms and I sat down to study for the quiz when I heard a clink at my window. I ignored it but a moment later I heard it again. I looked around my room confused and got up. I looked out the window but I don't see anything. I jumped back when I saw Draco fly down from above on his broom, hovering inches away from my window. He waves at me and smiles and I opened the window.
Y/N-"Bloody hell Draco you scared me."
Draco-"Sorry love" he chuckles. We look at each other for a moment.
Y/N-"What?"
Draco-"Aren't you gonna let me in?" I see him shiver.
Y/N-"Oh right." I moved out of the way. "Come on then" he set his broom down and I shut the window.
Draco-"What are you doing?" He looked at my bed full of papers.
Y/N-"Just studying for the potions quiz." His face fell.
Draco-"Oh..."
Y/N-"Here, help me study." We sat on my bed. "Ask me what Felix Felicis is."
Draco-"Uh alright, what's Felix Felicis?"
Y/N-"Liquid luck.?Whoever drinks this potion will find that everything they attempt to do will succeed....?" I look at him and he shrugs.
Y/N-"You don't even know?" I chuckled and he gave me a crooked smile and laughed.
Draco-"No"
Y/N-"Was I right?" He looks at the answer sheet.
Draco-"Yes"
Y/N-"It looks like you're going to need some for the quiz" I started laughing.
Draco-"Piss off Y/N" He laughs too.
Y/N-"We are definitely studying."
Authors POV.
Draco usually does well on quizzes and tests however, something else seemed to be on his mind. He looked up with just his eyes and sees Y/N reading the page and he smiles.
Draco-"Im sorry for everything I said." She looks up at him. "I didn't mean any of it."
"I know." She says looking back down.
Draco-"Aren't you gonna accept my apology?"
Back you your POV.
Y/N-"Draco you lied to me and it really hurt, I'm just not ready yet. I...I don't know if I can trust you again."He looked so sad.
Y/N-"Come on, let's study or you'll fail." We studied for a long time.
Draco-"Please trust me?" I sighed. Y/N-"I need time to think." I looked at the time. "You should probably go it's after curfew."
Draco-"Yeah. okay." Before he leaves he said ..."Uhm, I know you're not ready to trust me, but do you maybe wanna go to Hogsmeade with me Saturday?"
Y/N-" ...Sure."
Draco-"Alright bye."
Y/N-"Bye."
