Opposites Attract

Chapter ten: Butterflies

We arrive back to Hogwarts and we are told we all have to sleep in the Great Hall. No one still knows who could be doing this. I'm standing in the hallway, talking to my friends with my sleeping bag while we wait in line to go in. They are doing a head count to make sure we are all here.
Draco-"Meet me in the Library" Draco says on his way out of the great hall. I get in and set my sleeping bag down. I look at his sleeping bag already in his spot. I lay mine down and something falls out of it. It was a little box with a note attached. I opened it up and read it. "So your finger can match your wrist x-D.M." I opened the box and see the ring from the shop. Did Draco really buy this for me? He must have put it in here when he walked by. My cheeks get red and I shove it in my pocket before anyone sees.
Y/N-"I'm going to use the bathroom"
Hermione-"Want me to come with you?"
Y/N-"No that's alright" I head to the Library and walk in. It's dark and I can only see because of how bright the moon is shining through the window.
Y/N-"Draco?" I whispered looking around. "Drac-". He pulled me into one of the book aisles.
Draco-"I wasn't sure you'd come"
Y/N-"Well here I am" I said smiling.
Draco-"Did you get the ring"
Y/N-"Yes it's beautiful. Thank you...but why did you buy it for me?"
Draco-"Well I didn't exactly buy it.." he said smirking.
Y/N-"Draco!" I said smiling and slapping his arm playfully.
Draco-"Whattt I knew you wanted it. Plus I had to find some way to thank you."
Y/N-"What for?"
Draco-"For...not totally hating me this entire time for the project. Most people would immediately turn me down but you didn't. You've been nice to me when all I've done is been a di*k to you" I didn't know what to say.
Y/N-"Well you're not as bad as people think."
Draco-"Really?" He said moving closer to me causing me to push myself up against the bookcase. He was only inches away from me and I looked up at him. His platinum blonde hair looked so soft and his gorgeous eyes were shooting right through me making me go week in the knees.
Y/N-"Yes really." He looked down at my lips several times and my heart was beating so fast.
Filch-"HEY!" We jumped and Draco backed away from me. "You kids are supposed to be in the Great Hall!! Don't you know how to follow directions."
Y/N-"We were just.."
Filch-"Get out of here..I better walk you back to make sure you stay out of trouble." He walks us back and my heart was still pounding from before. I sat down in my sleeping bag.
Hermione-"Why were you walking in with Malfoy..?"
Y/N-"We were just talking about the project."
We lied down in our beds and tried to sleep.
Harry-"Guys wake up."
Harry woke us up and told us to meet him in the hall way.
Ron-"What the bloody hell is going on?"
Hermione-"If we get caught we will be in huge trouble Harry this better be important."
Harry-"It is. I was on my way back from the bathroom when I heard Ms.Clermont arguing with Lucius Malfoy." I furrowed my brow.
Y/N-"Charlottes mother?"
Harry-"Yeah, she sounded really mad. She said that she didn't sign up for this just for her daughter to ruin it all.."
Ron-"what could she be talking about..?"
Harry-"I don't know but I think it has something to do with the thief"
Hermione-"Possibly but why??"
Harry-"She was talking about what happened today at the zoo." We heard foot steps.
Ron-"Someones coming!" We all ran back to our sleeping bags and as I was getting into mine I saw Draco looking at me confused. I should tell him about his father tomorrow.
Harry-"We will talk about this tomorrow" I couldn't sleep. I've been laying here for so long. I sat up and pulled the ring Draco gave me out of my pocket and put it on. I got up and went into the hall and sat on a windowsill looking out into the dark and starry sky.
Draco-"Hey" he followed me
Y/N-"Hey"
Draco-"What are you doing?"
Y/N-"I can't sleep" I said turning towards him. "You?"
Draco-"Me neither..cute pajamas." I was wearing pink pants and a short sleeve silky top.
Y/N-"Yeah you too" I smirked. He had green checkered pj pants on and a long sleeve Slytherin sweater. "I can't stop thinking about what happened earlier"
Dracos POV.
My mind went to what happened in the library earlier. What would have happened if no one caught us. Would've we kissed? Would I have tried and she pulled away?

Draco-"Yeah me too" he said.
Y/N-"I mean..it doesn't make sense."
Draco-"Wait...what doesn't make sense."
Y/N-"Charlotte going missing. I mean how does someone get locked in a bathroom. If I got locked in I'd have done a spell to open it. She could have easily done that. And she seemed awfully happy when she was on the train. Not frightened at all.."
Draco-"Yeah I noticed that too"
Y/N-"Draco.." I paused for a second "Harry told us that he saw your dad and her mother arguing a while ago..about the incident."
Draco-"What..when"
Y/N-"He woke us up to tell us."
Draco-"I'm sure my father would tell me."
Y/N-"Are you?" I said watching him frown.
Draco-"Are you telling my own father would keep something from me!" He raised his voice.
Y/N-"No...I.."
Draco-"Then don't tell me something like that. This is exactly why I don't trust Potter. Or his stupid friends."
Y/N-"Wow..."
Dracos POV.
Sh*t. That came out wrong.
Draco-"No. Wait Y/N I didn't mean that." her face turned cold.
Y/N-"I thought that you could talk to me about anything" she said looking out of the window.
Draco-"I can. Of course I trust you. I promise I didn't mean that"

He grabbed my hand.
Draco-"Please forgive me." He said. I looked up at him. "I didn't mean to upset you." I took a second to respond.
Y/N-"It's alright. I'd get mad too if I were you. But I wouldn't lie to you Draco." He had already dropped the subject. He pushed some of my hair behind my ear and looked into my eyes. "I know" he said as he grabbed my face. He bent down and kissed my lips. It happened so fast I took a moment to comprehend what was happening. His lips tasted sweet and his tongue swirled around mine gently. He smelled really good. He pulled away from my lips slowly and smiled at me. I'd never been kissed before but I'm glad he was my first.
Draco-"Come on" he said with a smile. He took my hand and we walked back to the great hall and I went to bed with butterflies in my entire body.
