Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Start Of An End

Back to your POV.

After a while we all resorted back to our dorms and relaxed. I didn't really know what to feel at this point. I'm glad it's over but I wasn't expecting to have a sister...I wasn't expecting Charlotte out of all people to be my sister. I thought she'd be disgusted with me but she wasn't. I hadn't seen her the rest of the night, I just hung out in my common room.

Ron-"Are you okay Y/N?" Ron broke my focus and I looked up at him.

Y/N-"Uhm..yeah I think so."

Ron-"It's strange, everything that happened seems like it was big dream or something."

Y/N-"Yeah it does." Hermione walked down from her room with Harry.

Harry-"I can't believe Charlottes your sister."

Y/N-"I know me neither."

Hermione-"Do you want to come with us to Hagrids?"

Y/N-"Actually I have something to do. I'll catch up with you guys later"

Harry-"Alright"

I need to talk to my brother. I have so many questions. I showed up and instead of walking right in..for some reason I felt the need to knock. I waited for Henry to open the door and there he stood.

Henry-"Mouse!?"
Y/N-"Hi Henry. Can I come in."
Henry-"Uh of course." He opened the door just enough for me to get in.
Henry-"Tea?"
Y/N-"I assume you know that's why I'm not here." I ignored his excuse of an offer. His innocent facade faded and he became more serious. We both took a seat across from each other on the sofa.
Henry-"So you have questions."
Y/N-"...Of course I have questions Henry. I know you've heard the news. I'm so upset. I understand why Mum and Dad didn't tell me but you..you're my brother. One of my best mates. You have always been honest with me.."
Henry-"I know..I'm so sorry mouse, I hate that you found out like that."
Y/N-"Yeah. Like THAT. Some people died and if it weren't for me they'd be alive."

Henry-"Clarisse..."

Y/N-"I'm not talking about her. I mean that Ravenclaw girl. She died and it's all my fault."

Henry-"Y/N...that's not your fault. You didn't know it was going to happen."

Y/N-"But I knew Hogwarts was in danger and I never said anything once...and not to mention I have a sister...who's someone I've hated up until this point. She basically saved everyone including me. She could have let her mother do more damage but she risked her future and killed her own mother."

Henry-"Y/N they aren't going to send her to Azkaban."

Y/N-"Really?"

Henry-"Yes. Everything is going to be okay mouse I promise you." A weight lifted off of my shoulders. We stood up and he pulled me into a tight hug. "Get back to school and we will talk later"

Y/N-"Okay...thank you" when I got back to the castle I told my friends about our conversation.

Hermione-"You're going to be okay Y/N. We all are because it's over."

Harry-"And we are always here for you"

Ron-"Having each other is one of the best things about this." We all went in for a group hug. I gave Charlotte lots of space for a few weeks. She never talked to anyone and she didn't show interest in talking. It was finally the last day at Hogwarts before the summer.

Draco-"Hey gorgeous" He crept up behind me and hugged me, planting light but meaningful kisses on my cheek and neck.

Y/N-"Hi Draco, what's up? You look all perky."

Draco-"You're my girlfriend so of course I'm happy."

Y/N-"Okay cheeky." I teased him and took his hand. We walked outside letting the warm soak into our skin.

Draco-"So..my parents are going to Italy over summer..I don't really want to be anywhere near them so I'm staying at Malfoy Manor."

Y/N-"Ahh that's great..I'm glad they are letting you stay."

Draco-"Yeah...we can spend extra time together." I stopped and looked confused. "Look..my parents said I don't have to stay there alone if I don't want too obviously I'd have friends over anyway but..I chose you. I'll always choose you Y/N."

Y/N-"Really!?"

Draco-"Of course. I'll always be here for you and I'd love to spend time with my girl alone. So what do you say?"

Y/N-"Yes!!"

Draco-"I love you."

Y/N-"I love you more." So it's set in stone. Draco and I are going to live with each other for three months and I'm so excited. Nothing could be better. I looked over and saw a Charlotte sitting under a big tree on a hill all alone.

Draco-"Want me to help you pack some things?"

Y/N-"Yeah...but I'll meet you there soon I have to talk to her."

Draco-"You'll be okay?"

Y/N-"I'll be okay." I smiled at him and he kissed my forehead and walked away. I looked at Charlotte and inhaled deeply. I made my way over and sat next to her. She didn't look over but she knew that I was there. "Hey"

Charlotte-"hi." She said looking out in front of her.

Y/N-"What are you doing?"

Charlotte-"Just sitting here. You?"

Y/N-"Same." We sat in silence for a while. "I'm going to stay somewhere over the summer." She looked at me.

Charlotte-"With Malfoy?" I nodded.

Y/N-"Yeah. What are you doing?"

Charlotte-"Probably gonna look for a place to live." Those words stung me hard.

Y/N-"Stay at my house."

Charlotte-"What..no I can't do that it's not my place."

Y/N-"Sure it is. Plus you can get to know Henry. And maybe me and you can write over the summer if you like? And I'll of course still come home every once in a while!"

Charlotte-"You're sure?"

Y/N-"Absolutely"

Charlotte-"Alright. Thanks...and I'm. I'm really sorry."

Y/N-"That's okay."

Charlotte-"Not just for what happened but for how I've treated you all this time. My Mother just scared me so much I felt like I never had a choice. I never knew how far she'd go."

Y/N-"No need to apologize but I appreciate it." We didn't say much else, just looked into the open field ahead of us.

YN-"So..sisters huh?"

Charlotte-"Yeah.." she chuckled "Sisters. Who knew."

I spent most of my life with my eyes closed..most of my life not open for suggestion. I knew how Charlotte and I started off, but things were definitely changing. I'm glad everything is getting better now. I can tell this will be the best summer ever.
