"What's her name?" The Chief asked to Toast while staring at him in a serious face.
"She didn't told that to me." Toast said in a formal way.
The Chief just looked at him in disbelief and asked "What did you come here? I already give you the permission to work alone."
"Father I mean.. sir this is a very crucial information.. but can I ask if I can ha-" The Chief literally cut off his sentence and replied "No, you have to do whatever you want but if something happens to you, it won't be my responsibility."
The Chief sighed and continued "So is there any other information you wanna tell except for that.... diary that you lost?"
Toast remained silent as he remembered what happened that day.
□Flashback to that creepy Old mansion□
The woman cheerfully replied a question instead of an answer "What exactly do you mean 'one of them', Mister?"
"I know that we are battling a criminal organization. Are you belong in that kind of group?" Toast asked as he glanced at the lady from head to toe.
"Well, not exactly part of it but I can say I know what's happening." The lady said as she walked around in a playful manner.
"Who are you?" Toast said with his furrowed brows.
"You can call me Ori." She said as she approached the piano. Then she continued "So you know it's piano, right? You should also know the keys you need to press in order to open the secret door."
"Why are you here?" Toast asked suspiciously.
"To help everyone." Ori answered with a smile in her face.
"How did you know the answer?" Toast straight up interrogated the lady.
"It's simple, I love riddles." Ori said as she touched the piano gently.
"I bet you also know who the culprit is and which keys are suppose to be press?" Toast questioned to the woman and she just giggled.
"But I can't say it, let me just give you a little information. The culprit is not what you think it is and the keys are letters of the thing you should do about the truth and your past." Ori said then she smirked and added "If that's too hard for you then the culprit is in the house and the keys is a part of our body."
"Face.. F..A..C.. E" Toast said as he rushed towards to piano and pressed those keys.
It took a lot of time becuase there's not only one F, A, C and E in a piano. Ori just watched him while she's looking back as if someone will grabbed her and eat her alive.
After a few seconds, he finally manage to opened the secret door.He glanced at Ori and asked "Was it Poki?"
"Maybe yes, maybe no." Ori replied then she was about to leave but Toast spoke.
"Why should I face my past once again? What do you know about me?" Toast questions to her before she leaves.
"Acta knows everything." She said then she left Toast alone.
Then he just entered the secret room, it was dusty and not great. Then he started searching, for something.. A few moments later, he found the something.
《Back to the Present》
"TOAST!? TOAST!?" The Chief keep on calling his name but he didn't respond for a moment.
Then suddenly something pulled him back to reality and he replied "Yes, sir?"
"It seems like you're drowning in your own thoughts." Toast didn't replied that's why the Chief continued "I know my own son, what is it you aren't telling me right now?"
"Nothing, sir." Toast said, still in a formal manner.
"Perhaps you know her name? Or you know a very important thing you don't want me to know?" The Chief asked as he looked suspiciously to Toast.
Toast just sighed and asked a question instead of answering "Don't you trust me, father?"
"No, I don't trust you. Well you don't trust me too so I guess that's fair enough." The Chief replied casually as he grabbed his Tobacco.
"You lost me since then..." Toast mumbled as he looked down on the floor.
The Chief glanced at him once again but this, he sat up straight "It's all in the past now, focus on your work."
"I will, sir." Toast said with his furrowed brows and he turned around "Now, if you excuse me. I still need to investigate this case."
"Don't be like your mother." The Chief said as he turned around as well.
"Don't take my mother's name in vain." Toast said angrily as he looked back again and glared at his father.
"You didn't changed at all, son." The Chief said casually.
"I've lost enough." Toast replied then he flinched his fist.
"And you never learn." The Chief said then he didn't let Toast replied, instead he continued "You know how all of this works, right? If you have the power, you are the superior and yet you're still fighting even without my help. I thought you've changed and never lived in my shadows again. And yet, you're here.. asking for my permission.. waiting for my responds."
"That's not what living in your father's shadows means." Toast objected but the Chief just laughed.
"Just give up. You lost everything, my trust, your former significant other and your mother.. those two were both dead. You can't bring them back even my trust. They are all gone and will never come back" the Chief replied, wickedly as he spoke.
Toast just turned around again and opened the door. For the last time, he said "I don't need your opinion, father."
Then he left. He went outside and looked for Sykkuno. Thankfully, Neytiri fulfilled her duty to protect Sykkuno and Toast saw them sitting on a bench near the entrance. He approached them and Sykkuno saw him first. He smiled and stood up.
He ran towards to him while saying "Toast! You're back!" He almost fell down.
"Sykkuno, be careful." Neytiri said as she followed Sykkuno and trying her best to assist him.
"Thanks Neytiri, Sykkuno let's go."Toast said then he started to walk away.
Sykkuno looked back at Neytiri and said "goodbye Neytiri! Bye ninja, its nice to meet You!" Then he followed Toast like a little puppy.
Ninja stood up and shouted "HEY TOAST! YOU NEVER HAD DINNER WITH US! TOOOASSST!"
