Who is the Imposter? (Toastkkuno ff)

♤It's 3am in the house and Toast is not sleeping♤

"This is gonna be fun.." Toast told to himself as he went outside and looked around.

Kein knows that Toast is gonna do the plan in this time that's why he prepares an alibi if they look for him. Toast feels uneasy and very nervous about this but he doesn't let that feeling stop him. Neytiri and Ninja already went back to the headquarters to collect more files. Sykkuno fall asleep on the couch but don't worry, Toast put a blanket on the top of him.

Everything was dark... a few lights were on and no one was around. Toast headed to the cafe with his car and parked it safely. Yes, he is now very tired and sleepy but he still wanna solve this case so badly.

He opened the door then saw a lady sitting in one of the chairs and Su Ming who was fixing things. Su Ming glanced at him and nodded. They have secret ways of communicating.

Then Toast approached the lady and sat in the opposite chair "How can I join?"

"You don't need to." It turns out that Ori is the lady sitting in the opposite side of Toast  and then she  continued "You already have the journal, is there anything else you still need? You also have a lot of eyes and ears from inside."

"To see is to believe. I need to see him." Toast replied in a serious tone.

Ori smirked and said "To some a source of trust and love,To others, ball and chain,
For me some go beyond, above, While others but complain. What am I?"

"What are you? Is that another riddle again?" Toast said then he frowned afterwards.

Ori smile got wider as she continued "For I'm a thing you cannot choose, you're stuck with what you've got, But I'm a thing that one can lose For granted, take me not. What am I?"

"You know that I'm not that good at solving riddles, right?" Toast asked to her and she just sighed.

She glanced at Toast and said "C'mon, Mister. It's just like puzzle but it's verbally. You can answer it." Toast didn't respond that's why she added "Fine, another riddle but same answer. The leaves, the branch, the roots, the seed, The living crimson flow, as each of them their lives they lead, forever shall I grow. What am I?"

"Tree." Toast replied then he yawned and that made Ori felt relief.

"Thank God, you're not a psychopath." Ori uttered then Su Ming laughed in the background.

"Nice joke, Ori." Su Ming jokingly said then Toast glared at her.

"Shut up, smol gurl." Then he focused his gaze to Ori and said  "Another riddle same answer."

"my beginning is the 4th in the sound of music, my middle is the 3rd of the same, my end is the Abbreviation of 3 words said affectionately. now pray tell me my name?" Ori said and Toast furrowed his brows.

He then answered with a bit of an unsure tone. "Famiily?"

"Bingo!" Ori replied in the happiest tone possible.

"You want me to find Timothee's Family? They are all dead." Toast questioned to Ori and she nodded.

"Well there's two people who are alive and breathing right Now." Ori's smile faded away as she stated these words "One of them is a killing machine, the other is nowhere to be found. Where do you think you'll found them?"

"Nowhere to be found? But still alive? Wow." Toast asked back then he looked down and remembered his mother.

Ori fully rested her back on the chair and asked "Do you love Sykkuno?"

Toast's eyes widened and he glanced at Ori. Su Ming just teased him in the background and she said "Ohhhh oohhhh are we having a real talk here? I thought you still love your so called first love."

"Shut up, smol gurl. You're not part of this conversation." Toast said then he asked to Ori "And what made you think that I'm inlove with him?"

"Well, simple." Ori looked up and continued "You're not giving up to prove that he's innocent. C'mon Toast. We all know that once your co-workers find out about the fingerprints results and blah blah thingy that you hide from them, Sykkuno will be found guilty..."

Toast looked away and Ori added "You could've just be bold and told everything you know but you didn't."

"What do you mean?" Toast asked while glaring at Ori.

"Oh god, Toast. You're not doing all of this things not only to expose someone but also for Sykkuno. If you didn't, it's either Timothee himself will kill him or the authorities will locked him up in jail. There's no way that they will find out that he was just a victim too because of Shinko's very high skill in framing people." Ori explained that made Toast flinched his fist.

Toast just changed the subject and asked "Where can I find that missing family member or someone??"

Ori sighed and replied "Su Ming, What did he just did?"

"He change the subject, sis." Su Ming replied while smiling creepily.

"Haha, was he like this when you were kids?" Ori asked to her and she gulped.

"Yes and no." Su Ming replied then Toast suddenly stood up.

He glared at the both of them and said "This is a serious matter! No time to joke around! Now how can I join or where is the family member?"

"First of all, Acta won't recruit new member if they have a lot. As of now, they have a plenty of employees so that's pretty impassable. Second, that family member was nowhere near in your house. Maybe a mile away or more." Ori replied then he took a little sip of her tea.

"What if.. you resigned then I'll find out where that family member could be?" Toast asked to her and she paused.

"If I resign, they will kill me and there's no chance of you getting in because they'll know you are a police without my hidden technique. And in case, you got in that facility, there's no point of knowing who the family member is because you'll see Timothee and the superiors by yourself. Unless.." Ori stopped and stared at Toast.

Toast continued her sentence "Unless, I need a weakness."

"Well in that case, we have an alternate solution." Ori said in a graceful tone.

"What is it?" Toast asked.

Ori looked at Su Ming and replied "Go to dark web and it's either buy something from Acta or hire a human from Acta."

It's actually 3am here...
