Ever since Chat Blanc had been de-akumatized a week ago, Marinette and Adrien were inseparable. Whenever they had the chance, they were always clinging to each other. The pictures of Adrien's photoshoots were slowly but surely replaced with pictures they had taken together. All the couples congratulated them, even the single students wanted to celebrate what the whole school had collectively tried to bring to fruition.

Alya had offered to change seats with Adrien, which he had gleefully accepted. Whenever someone was throwing a party, you could make a fortune in betting that the two would be there dancing the night away. Marinette was always giving Adrien some sort of homemade treat she had made just for him, and Adrien would nearly cause a sonic boom running to Marinette if she ever needed something. Adrien was also really, really protective of Marinette, leading her to reassure him that she was okay. A lot. It made the others wonder if it was something related to what happened with Chat Blanc. She did get targeted and kidnapped, after all.

The occasional sight of Marinette petting Adrien like a cat during lunch break was admittedly a bit weird to some students, but they decided that to each their own. And nobody really understood the time Adrien and Marinette were both howling with laughter after Adrien had snuck up behind her with a bug net.

Adrien loved being able to come to Marinette's house, as Chat Noir and as Adrien. After a morning of patrol, Adrien was still rather sleepy, since he'd stayed up all night talking to Marinette over the phone. He dropped onto Marinette's roof, knocking on the trapdoor to her room. When Marinette opened it to peek up at him, the sight of her safe and sound and beautiful as ever was almost enough to make him purr in delight. He couldn't help but blush whenever he saw her hair down.

Marinette smiled when she saw her kitty, " Come in, Chaton. I think you'll be very pleased to hear that I've been knitting." Chat Noir's eyes lighting up at the promise of yarn to play with and a lap to lay on made Marinette let out a bubbly giggle. Chat went through the open trapdoor, his tail practically wagging as he examined the basket of yarn on her bed. Marinette's hand gently scritched behind the blonde's fake ear, making him purr.

The bluenette sat down in the spot where the sun shone through a window, positioning herself so the light was directed onto her lap. She began to count the seconds it would take for her kitty to surrender to his instincts.

Chat turned his attention to her after finding a suitable ball of yarn. A mix of sleepiness, his desire for physical contact, and his utter love for his girlfriend overtook his cat brain the instant he saw her. She was claimed as his pillow before she could even invite him to do so. A whole five seconds. Not his top record of three seconds, but close.

Marinette smiled softly and began to gently pet the masked boy, his purring as relaxing for her and the petting was for him.  He took in a slow breath, the warmth and tenderness around him making him fall deeper into the embrace of sleep. The sunbeam shining on his face did nothing but amplify his desire for rest. Seeing how her lover's eyes began to droop, Marinette decided to sing him a lullaby. It wasn't the first time she's sang it to him, and it's proven to be a good help in helping him fall asleep and trust that she is safe.

Chat heard the soft song beginning, smiling softly as he curled up to prepare himself for dozing off. It didn't take long for his eyes to close and his breathing to slow. Marinette reached the song's end, picking up her knitting needles and beginning her secret little project. She had just started a few days prior, so the first part was just halfway done. She planned to make three little blankets. An orange one with the name Emma, a purple one with the name Hugo, and a green one with the name Louis. It was a long way off for sure, but Marinette was sure that this newfound happiness wasn't going anywhere soon.

Marinette's moment of bliss halted for a moment, a cloud blocking her sunshine. The fact Hawk Moth was Gabriel Agreste hung over her head. They both knew it. If... he was any credible source, they would have to stand up against him soon. She looked down at her sleeping kitty, knowing he would have to fight his own father. She would make sure nothing happened to him when they did, and she knew in her heart that Chat would make sure nothing would happen to her either.

That brought some peace to her heart.
