Chat Noir wrapped his arms protectively around Marinette, staring his detransformed counterpart directly in the eyes. He didn't want that demon getting anywhere near her, much less being able, even allowed, to put his hands on her.
Marinette didn't want to, but she pulled away from Chat Noir. She took his hand in hers and gently pulled it outward, " You two have to shake on it." she ordered.
The two boys looked at each other. They reluctantly shook hands, either one wanting to toss the other out of the nearest window. As they pulled away, Blanc grabbed onto Chat Noir's ring and swiftly pulled it off his finger.
Chat desperately tried to grab it back as his transformation quickly disappeared. As he was handed it back, Blanc simply said, " You didn't need to be transformed anymore. There's no danger."
Noir scowled as he put on his ring, " That's what YOU think."
Blanc just smiled and took Marinette's hand in his, causing her to flinch. He pulled her close and caged her in his arms, resting his head on hers.
Noir put his hands on Marinette's shoulders, almost ready to get Marinette away from him by force if he had to. He stopped when he heard Blanc say, " You might want to watch your anger. I don't think Marinette would like having two of me."
Noir's gaze snapped back to him again, " What are you saying?" Marinette was tense, trapped between the two boys. Adrien's touch was no longer safe and reassuring as his warmth became uncomfortable on her shoulders.
" You know exactly what I'm saying. Hate for someone holding a certain miraculous to get wind of all that anger." he smugly replied. His expression slackened a bit, and after a small moment his returning smile told of a plan that Noir knew he didn't want to be on the receiving end of. His last surprise had been very, very messy after all.
Blanc, still holding Marinette's hand, locked fingers with her. He pressed his cheek to hers and let her go. In her last seconds of being held, she could feel his heartbeat speed up. He almost felt even colder to the touch at that moment.
" Even though it's MY turn to spend some time with her, I have to go get something done." he said as he walked toward the door.
" You spent up all your time with her at school and in the apartment building." Noir spat.
Blanc stopped, then turned around. His expression spoke of teetering on the edge of murder, but he simply asked, " Marinette, could you make some macaroons while I'm gone? I haven't eaten in days." his voice strained to keep his tone even. Marinette nodded nervously.
Blanc turned around and left.
