Hosptials freak me out

Charles POV

It's been 24 hours since Molly got admitted to the hospital. More than 24 hours since she last opened her eyes. In those 24 hours I haven't left her side. I can't imagine a world without her now, she is all consuming and there is no going back for me now. I haven't been alone as Lando refuses to leave. We have both been here unmoving, hoping for her to wake up.

The doctor enters the room, he greets both of us "Good morning, I'm just going to check her observations" he checks her heart rate, blood pressure and checks that her surgical site is healing properly. I just stare as he does his work "any idea when she will wake up?" Lando asks. The doctor shakes his head "her latest brain scan suggests the swelling has dramatically reduced but we don't know when she will wake up" I let out a sob and Lando places his hand on my shoulder. I have really appreciated his support but I'm also angry he is here as he clearly loves her more than a friend.

I receive a message from George asking how Mols is and telling me that Amelie has been arrested with the charges of bodily harm and attempt to harm. Turns out that he and Alex confronted her once they heard about what happened to Molly and the security at the track took her to the local police where she is waiting till Molly wakes up as it could be man slaughter if she doesn't but I don't wish to think about that scenario.

3 days it's been now and she is showing more signs of brain activity. Both me and Lando are supposed to be racing this weekend but the teams understand why we can't attend the race. Neither of us would be in the right head space to The doctors are quite certain she will wake up in the next 24 hours. I keep talking to her, letting her know I'm here but I feel silly. I have barely slept or eaten and I can't face it. I need her more than I ever realised

Lando POV

It's been days since she was admitted here, I can't lie hospitals freak me out. They are always so clinical and smell weird. But I haven't left her side since I arrived, Charles hasn't either. The doctors reckon she will wake up today. I need her awake, I know now more than ever that I can't be Lando without Molly.
The day drags and it's dinner time, I pop to the canteen to get me and Charles something, I'm worried that he hasn't been eating. It is so clear how much he loves her, he has taken this the hardest.
I pick up two sandwiches and some fruit and head back up, I'm in the corridor of Molly's room and there is a lot of commotion. I walk in the room and see that she is awake! I missed it but I couldn't contain my joy in this moment "Mols you're awake!" Her eyes meet mine and she smiles at me "Hey Lands!" I relax a little as I was concerned about her memory! I see Charles leaning against the wall with a smile on his face.

Molly POV

I'm in a lot of pain but I'm just glad to be awake, the doctor says I've been out for almost 4 days which is crazy! I can remember the pain shooting through my stomach and then the world went black. Charles and Lando are both here which makes my heart swell. Once the doctors are finished checking me over Charles comes at sits on my left and grabs my hand "mon amour I was beyond scared that I was going to lose you" realisation hits me that he has already lost so many people "I'm sorry for scaring you but I'm not going anywhere" he lets out a small laugh "I won't let you" I smile at him. "I heard you while I was unconscious Charles, I didn't feel alone" he smiles at me "I felt quite silly at the time but knowing you heard me makes me feel better" I giggle. Lando has taken a seat on my right he takes my hand  "I'm sorry this is all my fault. I've missed my best friend" I feel the need to cry "Lando none of this is your fault, please know I don't think that and neither should anyone else" he gives me a sad smile " I'm just glad you are awake" I burst into tears "I'm glad I have the both of you" they sit and chill with me till I insist they go to the hotel they have neglected to stay at since I was admitted and get a full nights sleep.
