For the next 3 hours all of the guys and I all were laughing and telling different stories. Around twenty minutes ago, the rest of the guys went to go change their clothes into something nicer so Hayes an I weren't the only people dressed up. We got music playing and drinks getting passed around. It's just some sort of punch, with no alcohol. Elizabeth, Hayes's mom, said that she doesn't want us drinking. Which I can completely understand because we're still teens and under 18. Except for Cameron, but he didn't drink because he knew that we were all not allowed drinking. He didn't think it was fair.

"Five minutes until 2016. That just doesn't seem right." I chuckled, thinking of all the good memories I made in 2015. Hayes and I were still in the backyard but off to the side so no one could bother us.
"Yeah, what's your favourite memory you made in 2015?" Hayes asked, holding my hand. I looked down at our hands, then back at him. I thought for a slight second. It's hard to choose one when you made so many.
"I'd have to say the pool party at your house, back in July." I smiled, trying to relive the moment. Hayes was as well.

Music blaring, everyone laughing. It was all good surroundings. That was one of the best days ever. The police ended up coming to the house because Hayes's neighbour called in a noise complaint. Well, it was around 10:30 and the sun was still magically up and so were we. After that happened, for the next day I kept laughing, remembering Hayes's face when the cop came through the back gate. Priceless.

I returned back to reality, hearing everyone count down from ten. Hayes held my hand a bit tighter.
"This is it. Here's to a new year." I looked at him, smiling. I then stared into his eyes.
"Five! Four! Three! Two!" The guys started to count down.
As everyone was counting down, I got massive butterflies for no apparent reason.
"One!" Hayes let go of my hand and pulled me in for a kiss.
"Happy New Year!" Everyone announced, celebrating.
At first, Hayes placed his hands gently on my face. Then, he moved them down my body to my hips, continuing to kiss me. I wrapped my arms around his neck. Slowly, he moved my body closer to his.
Hands down, but that was the best kiss I have ever had.
It was so passionate, and just perfect. It was a New Years kiss too!
It felt as if we were the only people on the earth. That kiss, caused me to fall in love with him even more.

Before you think of the wrong thing, it was not a make out session. It was simply a long peck, I guess, that's what you call it. But, if he did try to take it that far, I wouldn't let him. We're not dating and it was our first kiss. To me, it's just not right. Just to clarify everything.

"Got it!" Nash yelled, causing Hayes and I to stop kissing. We were in the same position, but we turned our heads to him. A small amount of anxiety ran through my bones. What did he get? What if he got it? Oh no. Maybe? Sarah, calm down. He only said two freaking words.
"Got what?" I yelled back.
"Oh. Uh, nothing." Nash tried to cover it up. I didn't believe that one bit. I'm assuming Hayes felt my body slightly tense up. He used his index finger to gently move my face back to his.
"Sarah, it's fine. Don't worry." Hayes whispered, kissing me again.
